attempted or done, working against the grain of societal influence is
what I believe to be the epitome of adulthood and maturity. I consider
my art to be a major part of my life, because I owe it to my success,
my existence my not have been without the places that my art has
taken me or the opportunities it has allowed.
WORK FROM STUDENTS of the 21st CCLC TIGERS PROGRAM (WILKINSBURG)
The 21st CCLC TIGERS program, which focuses on STEAM
(Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) skills, runs from
June 22nd and will run until July 30th, Monday through Thursday.
Between the hours of 9:00am and 1:30pm, students are immersed in a
world of creativity and discovery. This year the program is partnering
with Sense of Place Learning, Art Expression, Saturday Light
Brigade, Assemble Pgh, Gateway to the Arts and the Legacy Arts
Project. Activities include audio recording and editing, creative
gaming, painting & sculpture, nature survival skills, dance, drumming,
3D printing, computer programming, photography/videography,
gardening and wooden shop.
