 RELAYOUT PROJECT
"Working alongside operators from ICE and Advanced Technologies, Health and Safety as well as other support services within CAV Andy and his team certainly delivered a facility all at CAV should be
proud of."
Jamie, Jack and Dennis in the new facilities in Unit Ia Linden Park
The Relayout Project was developed to best utilise available units within CAV to support forecasted growth, whilst improving operational efficiency.
Following a value stream exercise, it was clear that moving our Brake press area to Linden Park not only freed space in Unit 1 but that it
would also create a fully functional manufacturing facility for the “front end” processes supporting ICE Protection panel assemblies.
The project included moving assets from Unit 1, a re-layout of existing processes across Linden Park and it also required building modifications to allow access between all four units, upgrades to lights and all services required to operate a manufacturing facility, IT, design and introduction of new check forming fixtures, re- furbished canteen facilities as well as the movement of brake press, punch, guillotine.
The project was championed by Ian Jackson and fully supported at board level, Andy English and his team were responsible for delivering a facility which supported CAV’s planned growth over the coming years as well as showcasing our manufacturing capabilities.
