PICNIC
UNVEIL NEW SINGLE, ‘FAMOUS’
Picnic, the sax-driven funk-pop makers from Sunderland, are back. And this time, they’re here to talk about fame with their new single, ‘Famous’. The track has everything existing fans will love and for newbies to the group, this upbeat ear- worm is a great introduction to the outfit. To celebrate the track's release, Picnic recently played a headline show at The Vaux Rooms in Sunderland which was bittersweet as the gig was also one last farewell to long-time keys player, Olive. ‘Famous’ is a wonderful track for Olive to bow out on and shows that the future of Picnic is still looking bright. You can listen to ‘Famous’ now on all major streaming platforms. GEORGINA SHINE

THE LAMBRINI GIRLS
AT THE CLUNY, NEWCASTLE
THE ROSADOCS
AT KU, STOCKTON
Five-piece Sheffield outfit The Rosadocs will hit KU in Stockton on Friday 11th November as part of their UK tour, in partnership with This Feeling promotions. The band released their debut single in 2017 entitled ‘No.54’ and built a successful following right from the off. The outfit have been working hard ever since, travelling up and down the UK and playing in sold-out venues, generating an energetic atmosphere as they go. As part of the tour, The Rosadocs will be promoting their latest single, ‘Towards the Sun’, a catchy, upbeat atmospheric indie-rock tune. This is their third single of 2022 alone, showing a slower and emotive side to them, with the other more indie-rock singles entitled ‘These People’ and ‘Where You’re Supposed to Be.” Their sound has the foundations of British alternative indie and Britpop while making every song distinctive in sound and feel. If you’re a fan of the Arctic Monkeys, The Enemy, The Killers, Stereophonics or The Kooks, this is a band to jump on. The five-piece’s name originated from the original inspirational boot of the working- class man, Doc Martins. It was a combination of the colour rosa and Doc Martins, hence, Rosadocs, which was thought above while gorming around washing the pots and pans. The outfit are in the process of recording and releasing their new EP, ‘Two Wrongs Make a Right’; and if their previous tracks are anything to go by, expect even more anthemic guitar- driven melodies and standout choruses. What impresses me about this band is that they are down-to-earth lads who simply want to release great music and put on memorable live shows for everyone to enjoy. They are hard-working and have been grafting up and down the country for the past few years, building up a great fan base and making memorable connections with fans. In watching all the interviews they have done, you can’t help but like them. I also can’t think of a better venue for them to perform at in the North East as KU is the Britpop rock ‘n’ roll centre of the region. You can expect an amazing live show from The Rosadocs with all the energy you need for a good night out, making this a gig simply not to be missed. TOBIAS HALFORD

The Lambrini Girls bring their chaotic punk energy to The Cluny 2 on Sunday 13th November in what is certain to be an adrenaline-fuelled affair. A fierce collective, Phoebe, Catt and Lilly can be described as feral and raucous. Heavily influenced by the Riot Grrrl movement, particularly Bikini Kill, expect and enjoy an evening of anarchic hilarity with a strong feminist message. The band have been known to hand their instruments to friends in the crowd, simulating a mosh pit and showering the audience with Lambrini in what is classed as punk meets performance art. Support comes from Haunted Hair. KIM BLUE
