                                                 Bank of Maharashtra awarded
                                                      as BEST BANK-PUBLIC

                                                 SECTOR in BFSI Awards-2015

                                                                          Bank of Maharashtra, a Premier Nationalized Bank was
                                                                          conferred as BEST BANK-PUBLIC SECTOR in BFSI Awards-
                                                                          2015 by World HRD Congress in recognition of the Best
                                                                          performances in Banking Category.

                                                                          The Award was received by Shri.S.Muhnot, Chairman &
                                                                          Managing Director on behalf of the Bank at the function held
                                                                          at Mumbai.

                                                                          The award focuses on the best practices of the BFSI Industry
based on the Strategy, Security, Customer Service and the Future Technology Challenges and Innovations.

Special SLBC-West Bengal Meeting for flood affected districts

United Bank of India convened special SLBC Meeting on 13.08.2015 to review the flood situation in West Bengal and to
formulate strategy for relief measures as per the guidelines of RBI. Dr.
Amit Mitra, Hon'ble Finance Minister, West Bengal presided over the
meeting in presence of Shri P. Srinivas, Managing Director & CEO of
United Bank of India and Chairman, SLBC, West Bengal. Shri C. M.
Bachhawat, Additional Chief Secretary, Shri H. K. Dwivedi, Principal
Secretary, Finance, Dr. R. S. Shukla, Principal Secretary, Agriculture, Shri
R. N. Kar, Regional Director, RBI, Shri Sanjay Arya, Executive Director,
UBI, Ms. T.S. Raji Gain, CGM, NABARD and other Senior Executives of
State Government, RBI, NABARD and Banks also attended the meeting.

Shri P. Srinivas, informed that banks would provide relief measures to
the affected farmers / borrowers in the 12 flood hit districts of the State subject to declaration of Natural Calamity and
also crop loss assessed is 50% or more. He informed that Banks are to consider extending relief measures to the affected
farmers depending upon the nature of loan.

Dr. Amit Mitra, Hon'ble Finance Minister, West Bengal in his keynote address briefed the House about recent flood
situation causing damage to Kharif crops, fisheries, betel vines, orchards, flower beds, etc. in those 12 districts. He
requested member banks & SLBC to initiate steps to formulate strategy for providing relief measures to the affected
farmers and borrowers in a time bound manner to save their livelihood. Dr. Mitra desired to hold of Special District
Consultative Committee (DCC) meetings in the 12 affected districts to assess the extent of damage caused to the farmers
/ borrowers by the recent flood within 18.08.2015 so that a final decision can be taken by Banks to extend relief measures
in consonance with the laid down guidelines in this regard.
