Coverage C: medical payments -medical expenses for
bodily injury caused by an accident within the covered
territory and within the policy period. Expenses incurred
have to be reported to the insurers within one year of
the accident. The insured will be subjected to examination
by the insurers appointed physicians as and when
required to : (i) on premises owned or rented. (ii) on
ways next to premises owned or rented.
Exclusions: (i) expenses for injury to insured, his
employees, tenants or occupiers of his owned or rented
property. (ii) persons eligible under workmen
compensation policy or similar laws. (iii) participation in
athletics (iv) war and allied perils.

The important provisions of the Act have a bearing on
Employers Liability Insurance. A thorough knowledge
of these provisions is necessary to understand the
coverage under the policy and the process of settlement
of claims.
According to Section 3 of the Act, the employer is liable
to pay compensation laid down in the Act if personal
injury is caused to workmen by accident arising out of
