Dear SUD colleagues,
As we stepped into FY’23 in the month of Apr’22, when I checked with our MD & CEO for carving out SUD’s strategy for FY’23,
he gave us a noble thought to chase the best player in the industry irrespective of their volume & ranking. We deep dived
into understanding their strategy and business levers and created our winning strategy for FY’23 and thereon.
To describe and reiterate the strategic imperatives that is being followed by all the Sales Leaders at SUD are:
• 50% Bank branch active month on month in FY’23 and lift this to 60% and 80% in the years to come so that we
can create a strong active distribution in the market.
- Accomplish the above by getting 100% bank branches equipped with a SP/POSP.
• Double our MDRTs from last year 6% bank branches to 12% this year.
• Drive Persistency to reach 81% this year and lift this further in the years to come.
• Drive all the above in line with our values E-C-H-O and 100% sales compliant with zero grievance and wow
customer onboarding experience through faster issuance by Digital way of working.
Eight months journey ending YTD Nov’22 in this strategy has been successful and it’s heartening to note that the key
cornerstone of our strategy to hit 50% active is paying us the results.
• BOI has imbibed a culture of branch active, and they surpassed 50% active from Aug’22 onwards & scaling
newer heights every month, aspiring to set an industry best benchmark by Mar’23.
• UBI breaks the jynx by cracking 50% branch active in Nov’22 being their foundation month. UBI team is all set to
scale up this key strategic vector in the months to come.
“Whatever is the mind of a man/woman can conceive and strongly believe, it will achieve” and so true to this saying,
yes indeed we are experiencing this. Would like to thank once again our MD & CEO for instilling this thought to Think Big
by benchmarking ourselves towards the industry best player with an ambition that we will reach there one day!
Congratulations to all at SUD life for continuing to grow at 40% YOY so far in retail premium, after posting the best
ever growth of 48% in FY'22 and a first-time mark of 1020 crs retail IRDA EPI last year including the baby steps of
Alternate channels to the tune of 12 crs.
It's always a delight to see our Credit life team as a galvanizing force for us garnering a premium of 285 crs in FY22
which was 50% growth in FY 22 and the team has launched an ambitious Mission 500 for FY’23 and the entire proud
bandwagon marching towards this goal post with a first pitstop of 200 Crs by Oct’22 and 246 crs done by Nov’22.

Corporate Agency, IMF, RRBs have contributed 26 crores and Agency has touched the mark of 5 crs. Congrats to
both Alternate channels & Agency who are ambitious of 100 Crs in FY’23 and all set to grow these channels by leaps
and bounds in the coming years. Cross sell is also a measure of Customer delight which is growing at a faster pace
touching 51 Crs mark by end Nov’22.
We currently stand at 793 Crores of Retail IRDA EPI with a growth of 40% YTD YOY and 246 Crs of Credit life business
with 92% YOY which adds to the glory of being Topmost growing LI company in the private space and of course with
the great contribution of Group Business team.
We have come out with this internal circulation titled as World of Winners (WOW) ae-magazine to capture every
good work of each of the champions from all channels across SUD life.

strategy team in creating this opportunity to all by getting featured in this elite magazine.

Thanking all the CXOs, Sales Strategy, Corporate Strategy, Distribution Operations, Finance, Risk, Operations, Marketing,
Facilities, Underwriting, Claims, Digital, Compliance, Audit, and investment teams for enabling us in all possible ways to
deliver this business outcomes. We will strengthen our collaboration much better in the coming days.
