accidental bodily injury, fatal or otherwise, and damage
to property of third parties caused by ( a. ) negligence
in connection with the use of the vehicles and (b)
defects in the plant or premises of the Motor Trader.
For this purpose two types of policies are available:
a. Standard Form of Motor Trade 'B" Policy and
b. Standard Form of Motor Trade Internal Risks Policy.
Q 4. Describe the Cover granted under Motor Trade
Ans. B Policy.
The cover under Motor Trade B Policy is operative
whilst the motor vehicle is in a public place or; is
temporarily garaged during the course of a journey but
not in or on any premises owned by or in the occupation
of the insured. There are following three Sections of
the policy:
Section I Loss or Damage - This section provides
indemnity in respect of loss or damage to the motor
vehicle. This Section is not subject to Depreciation
Clause. Cost of Protection and Removal up to Rs. 150
is also payable.
Section II Liability to Third Party - The cover provided
under this section is identical to that granted under the
Commercial Vehicles "B" Policy.
