Survey And Loss Assessment IC-S01
The report should contain (apart from other preliminary information’s, discussed
later under "final survey report") the details under the following heads:
a) Details of occurrence as reported and as elicited at the place of occurrence on
inspection.
b) Details of the location at which the loss has taken place and nature of
occupancy.
c) Cause of loss, if ascertainable, or all details relevant to the subject as
observed.
d) Preliminary estimate of loss and
e) Any other relevant details considered necessary for reporting
FINAL SURVEY REPORT:
Upon finalisation of the adjustment of the loss, duly concurred by the insured, the
surveyor must prepare without delay the papers necessary to evidence and present
it to the insurer in the form of a detailed final survey report, No format is evolved for
presentation of the report, in view of the diverse focus and details specific to the
class of insurance under which the loss is reported, and the approach of data
collection, confirmation and presentation adopted by each surveyor.
