Every Insurer looks for the following attributes in a Surveyor, while awarding
survey assignments
Technical competence, specialisation and professionalism.
Knowledge of different types of policies and their conditions for enforcement.
Promptness in carrying out the survey and submission of detailed report as soon as
the assessment is completed
Thorough-going approach in work and clarity of expression.
Ability to look into the intricacies of the reported claim and resolve disputes through
effective discussions with the insurer and the insured.
