Chapter 1 Sources of law
Law in very simple terms is the set of rules that a country enacts/
passes /introduces for regulating the actions of the citizens of that
country. These rules are made by Judiciary, the government or
other empowered authorities of that country
Sources of law can be classified as: formal sources, historical sources,
legal sources and literary sources.
The main kinds of delegated legislation are: Orders in Council,
Ministerial Regulations, Local authority and other bye laws and
Miscellaneous categories such as local authority orders etc.
The Ancient Indian Law may broadly be identified with the law in the
Hindu or Vedic scriptures.
