Q2 . Write a detailed note on the Householder's
policy.

Ans. The Householder's policy comprises of 10
sections. They are the following:

(i) Section 1- loss of or damage to the building contents,
excluding money and valuables whilst contained in the
insured premises by (1) fire, lightning, explosion. (2)
bursting and overflowing of water tanks. (3) aircrafts
or articles dropped from them. (4) riot, strike and
malicious act. (5) earthquake, subsidence and landslide.
(6) flood, storm, Tempest. (7) impact damage by any
rail or road vehicle or animals.

(ii) Section 2 - loss of or damage to contents, excluding
money and valuables whilst contained in the insured
premises by burglary, housebreaking including larceny
and theft.

(iii) Section 3 -loss of or damage to jewellery and valuables
caused by accident or misfortune whilst anywhere in
India.

(iv) Section 4 - loss of or damage to fixed plate glass by
accidental means.
