(iii) Domiciliary Hospitalization - Domiciliary
Hospitalisation Insurance - this insurance provides cover
for medical treatment for a period exceeding three days
for any illness or disease or injury which in normal course
would have required care and treatment at the hospital
or nursing home but actually taken at home under any
of the following circumstances:
(i) If the condition of the patient is such that he or she
cannot be removed to any hospital and nursing home
or
(ii) There is lack of accommodation at the local hospital
or nursing home.
However there are certain benefits that are not
covered by this insurance, they are:
(i) Expenses incurred for pre-and post hospitalisation
treatments
(ii) Expenses incurred for treatment of any one of
the following diseases (a) Asthma (b) Bronchitis
is (c) Chronic Nephritis (d) Diarrhoea and all
types of Dysenteries including Gastro-enteritis (e)
Diabetes Mellitus and Insipidus (f) Epilepsy (g)
