They say that I am pessimistic person, but I would rather claim that I am part of the realistic
people. This movie proved my point, that nowadays you must question everything around you:
news, information on the internet, ideologies, theories, claims, thoughts etc., because you don’t
know what the truth is. People can tell you what you want to hear, but it is still not helping you.
It allures you to avoid the truth in yourself. You can be smart or stupid a charismatic person can
come anytime and talk you into his ‘big ideas’, ‘sophisticated thoughts’. You can be fooled until
you are fooling yourself and didn’t face with your repressed emotions. The saddest part in the
movies is that Derek only realizes in the prison what was the effect of his false preaching. What
was bad, he only made it worse. So, the main thing I have learnt from this movie is that you
must owe your own truth and not let yourself fool by strangers.
