           Spiritual baptism is salvation. Two Types of Baptism
                Water baptism is not;
           water baptism does not save.

             John the Baptist knew he was sent to
       baptize with water and he knew Jesus
       would baptize with the Holy Ghost. He
       recognized the difference of spiritual bap-
       tism and water baptism. John 1:33 “And I
       knew him not: but he that sent me to bap-
       tize with water, the same said unto me,
       Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit de-
       scending, and remaining on him, the same
       is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.”

            1 Corinthians 12:13 is clearly teaching of baptism of the Spirit (salvation), not baptism in wa-
       ter. Water is not mentioned in the verse, but the Spirit is. 1 Corinthians 12:13 “For by one Spirit
       are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free;
       and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.”
            Galatians 3:27, Romans 6:3-4, Colossians 2:11-12 clearly teach of baptism into Christ
       (salvation), not baptism in water. Water is not mentioned in the verses, but Christ is.
            1 Peter 3:20-21 is speaking of spiritual baptism (salvation). Water baptism is not mentioned.
       The only water mentioned is the water of the world flood in Noah’s days.

        Water baptism is important as a confession that you have repented, but it will not save or
                 wash away sins. The blood of Jesus washes away sins (Revelation 1:5, etc).

                                            In I Cor. 1:17, Paul said that Christ sent me not to baptize, but
                                       to preach the gospel, clearly showing us Christ saves, not water. In
                                       John 4:2, the Bible says Jesus baptized not, but his disciples, show-
                                       ing us salvation is not through water, but through faith in Christ. In
                                       Luke 23:42-43, the thief on the cross was not baptized, yet was
                                       saved. In Acts 16:30-31, a man asked what he must do to be saved
                                       and he was only told to “believe”. After he believed he was bap-
                                       tized in water as a statement of his faith.

           Verse after verse in the Bible that teaches of salvation says nothing about water baptism
       because Jesus saves us, not water. Here are a few examples: John 3:16, John 1:12, John 3:18,
       Romans 10:9-10, Romans 10:13, Titus 3:5, 1 Corinthians 1:17, John 14:6, Acts 4:12, Romans
       3:20, Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 4:2, Romans 11:6, Acts 16:30-31, Galatians 2:16, and many
       more.
