Journalism Club Toolkit

Aim: help teachers motivate students to launch

and/or develop their own journalism club.
Method: A combination of theoretical modules and

ones providing practical tasks that would help the

launch of a media outlet.

Modules covered in the Toolkit:

Freedom of Speech and Code of Ethics.
Hate speech and regulatory institutions.

Quality journalism and the spread of disinformation

and propaganda.

The job of a journalist and how newsrooms operate.
Journalistic genres: interviews, photo essays, video

reports, radio podcasts, opinion pieces and analytical

articles – and how to distinguish between them and

produce them.
