IPS, PCC, RCC and Neat Cement Flooring

         IPS Flooring

Polished concrete flooring is usually referred to as Indian
Patent Stone (or IPS). It is generally done with cast-in-situ

PCC 1:2:4) with coarse aggregate as 6-10mm granite
chips. IPS is laid into alternate panels, generally stag-

gered, of not more than 9m2 each to avoid shrinkage
         cracks on drying.

                                                    Plain Cement concrete (PCC)

Concrete not strengthened by reinforcement. Used for
foundations and mass structures such as damn, and

gravity retaining walls .It is also called non-reinforced
concrete .Suitable to take only compressive loads.

         Reinforced Cement Concrete
         (RCC)

         Reinforced Cement Concrete in
         which the structures are reinforced

with steel. The steel takes tension
         and the concrete the compression.

                                            Neat Cement

Grout (a thin mortar for filling joints between tiles, masonry)
made from a mixture of cement and water.
