Four rounds of golf in a day for charity – it’s the stuff of legends
They are golf legends who have now written themselves
into history… For on 6 August 2020, Alan Swan, Clerk at
the Mental Health Tribunal for Scotland, took part in the
longest day golf challenge with two of his golfing buddies
– Christopher Logie, who is the partner of Pamela Traynor,
Caseworker in MHTS, and mutual friend Alistair Barr,
writes Jenna Swan.
Their team was called, The Golf Legends and they got
together to take on the tough challenge – of 72 holes of
golf in one day – to raise as much money as possible for
the very worthy cause of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Macmillan Cancer Support works with people who have
had a cancer diagnosis, helping them and their families
cope with the physical, financial and emotional impacts of
cancer. With the challenges of Covid-19, these charities
certainly do need our help.
