 New Mexico Breeders’ Futurity-RG3
MAJOR GAME

Third-fastest qualifier Major Game was a prompt 2-1 favorite in the 350-yard New Mexico Breeders’ Futurity-RG3 for state-bred juveniles at SunRay Park on May 22.
Saddled by Eric Valenzuela for owners Jaime Perez, Andres Estrada, and J. Santos Espinoza, Major Game defeated fastest qualifier Sheza Ahotmess by a neck in :17.357. Sergio Becerra Jr. rode the chestnut son of freshman sire Gronkowski.
Major Game was bred by Mike Abraham, and he was coming off of a wire-to-wire 1-length victory in one of seven trials on May 6.
The colt is out of A Major Chamisa, an unraced homebred 12-year-old daughter of Major Rime. His second dam, the winning homebred Chicks A Blazin mare Chicks Chamisa, produced three graded stakes
Old South Futurity
JES AN ANGEL

Jes An Angel entered the $148,040 Old South Futurity as the fastest qualifier. The sorrel daughter of Jess Zoomin lived up to the billing by proving best in the 330-yard main event as the 2-1 race favorite on May 21 at Delta Downs. Ridden by Camilo Castillo, who had been aboard the precocious filly in her previous three lifetime starts, Jes An Angel broke alertly and dueled for command early with Reach Thru who quickly opened a length on the field after the break.
Jes An Angel took over in the lane and forged clear in the late stages to score by 3/4-length from Coronas Margarita. In winning the first stakes race of her young career, Jes An Angel stopped the timer in :17.173.
Owned by Lance Moore and conditioned by Dustin Rhodes, Jes An Angel improved her record to 4-3- 0-0 and the $74,020 winner’s
winners, including a pair of full sisters to A Major Chamisa: Me Chickie, winner of the 2009 Lineage Championship-RG2 at Albuquerque Downs; and mutliple graded stakes winner Rime Has A Chick.
Major Game traces back to his third dam, Moolahs Parade, a homebred daughter of Sparkling Moolah and a full sister to multiple stakes winner Parade The Moolah and stakes
Runner-up Sheza Ahotmess (First Moonflash-Jazzsnspots) was coming off of
a 1 3/4-length win in the first New Mexico Breeders’ Futurity trial. Gerardo Vera rode the homebred filly for owner Sherree Meridyth and trainer Guadalupe Munoz Jr.
Jess Emotions (Jess A Chicks-The Blues Girl) finished third. Sergio Dominguez rode the filly for owner Gustavo Cadena Jr. and trainer Jorge Luis Sanchez Jr.
Flash Divine (First Moonflash-Girlonthego) ran fourth and was followed by Flecha Gris (Osbaldo-VN Dos Per Tres), J Y Jaaziel (Big Daddy Cartel-Thats Jess Hot), Jess Call Me Mason (Jess A Chicks-Ms Perry Mason),
Elisas Esperance (Jumpn Chic-Esperance), BF Daddys Diva (Big Daddy Cartel-BF Divine Dynasty), and Flash Me The Price (First Moonflash-First Prize Mine).

Fearona), with Gilbert Ortiz aboard for owner Rogers Farm and trainer Vann Haywood, rallied late to finish third. RF Fearless Heroine captured her trial heat by one length on
April 30 and was second in a maiden event at Louisiana Downs on March 29. The bay filly was bred in Louisiana by Rogers Farm and Jennie Rogers.
Specials Corona (KVN Corona-Specials Jamie), Reach Thru (Fly Thru The Fire-Classic Reach), A Revenant Wave (A Revenant- Tsunami 09), Butter My Perry (One Sweet Jess-Toast Butter), Sendsation (Tempting Dash-Jess Send Corona), Rain In The Dough (Freighttrain B-Zydeco Dough), and Ruse Choice (Fast Prize Cartel-First Rate Choice) completed the order of finish.
