FABULOUS RACHEL

Dueling late for the win, Fabulous Rachel proved why the odds were in her favor, and claimed her victory in the $35,250 Race Track
Champlaincy of America Stakes at Lone Star Park on Oct. 21. Guided by jockey Victor Urieta Jr., the filly finished by 1/2 length, completing the 400 yards in a time of :19.864, for a speed index of 91.
Fabulous Rachel earned $16,920 for owner Darling Farms and trainer Juan Diaz Jr., bringing her career earnings to a total of $160,480.
The filly has won or placed in four of her five starts this racing season thus far. She recently won Junos Request Stakes-G1 at Remington Park on June 3.
The 4 year old sorrel filly was bred in Oklahoma by Juan A. Medina. Fabulous Rachel is the leading progeny by stakes wins out of stakes winning dam Teller Baja. The filly is half-sister to stakes winner Teller Ima Eagle by This Is An Eagle.
You Look Famous (One Famous Eagle-MI Angela) and jockey Noe Villatoro took hold of early lead but were out finished pulling out of the stretch. The filly is owned by Dash Master Jess Partnership and trained by Frank Mendez. She won the Miss Retama Stakes on July 28.
Mperativ (Apollitical Jess-Miss Aguilar) and jockey Edwin Escobedo gave way late and held third across the wire. The filly is owned by Jeffrey Brooks and trained by Jason Olmstead. She placed third in the Justanold Love Handicap at Los Alamitos on November 5 of last year.
The remaining horses crossed the wire as follows: Apolitical Sass (Apollitical Jess-Jess Sass Me), Apocalyptical Sis (Apollitical Jess-CC Seis), Valiant Bling (Valiant Hero-Spring Bling), Hallmarke (Duponte-Zenergy), Patriotic Attitude (Jet Black Patriot-Fashionisanattitude).

Charlies Fast Man put forth a determinecd effort to win the $35,000 Equinline Stakes at Lone Star Park on Oct. 21. Unde by jockey Alan
Hernandez, the gelding was just shy of a wire-to- wire run. The pair broke second and took the lead at the first call and only gained ground from there, finishing by 1 1/2 lengths. The gelding completed the 440 yards in a time of :21.806, earning a speed index of 87.
The gray gelding brought home an earnings of $18,200 for owner Jose Aguilar Mendoza and trainer Eloy Navarro, raising his career earnings to $65,997. He is a multiple stakes winner, having also won the Rillito Park Juvenile Challenge at Ruidoso Downs in July of 2020.
Charlies Fast Man is Oklahoma-bred by Marshall P. Watson out of Alltherightcurves. He is the dam’s leading progeny by stakes wins, and is a half-brother to graded stakes winner Separate Butallright, the winner of the 2023 Grade 3 Speedhorse Futurity.
In 2nd was Hes Jess Dealin (Dealagame-Jess Marcy) and jockey Ali Rivera gave game effort. The sorrel gelding is bred and owned by Pete Scarmardo & trained by John Stinebaugh. He placed 3rd in the AQHA Derby Change Championship-G3 at Horseshoe Indianapolis in October 2022.
Race favorite, Kowboy Jim (FDD Dynasty- Counting On You) and jockey Bryan Candanosa gave a driving finish and came in third. The gelding is bred, owned, and trained by Dean Frey. He is multiple graded stakes placed, he placed third in the Bob Moore Memorial Stakes-G2 at Remington Park in April 2019.
Completing the field were Uncle Eds Idea (Dominyun-Mystical Eye), Valentino Pete (Hes Relentless-Mystical Eye). Jet Black Grace was scratched by trainer.
VALIANT LIVY

Determining the victor in the Nutrena Stakes ended up a family affair. Valiant Livy bested her half-brother Sass Cartel to win the $35,000 stakes,
held Oct. 21 at Lone Star Park.
A three-year-old filly, Valiant Livy posted her second
win in 13 starts and her first ever in stakes company. Owner Lana Bailey collected a $16,100 payday that improved the filly’s total bankroll to $29,380.
Placed at 11-1 odds, Valiant Livy made a sharp finish. After breaking from the No. 4 gate, the
filly was running third both at the first call and going into the stretch, then surged to the front and reached the wire first by 1/2 length. Trained by John Stinebaugh, Valiant Livy finished the 400-yard race in :20,060 and registered an 86 speed index. Ali Rivera had the riding assignment.
Speed LLC bred Valiant Livy out of Jess Sass Me, a 2004 mare with four wins and a $110,000 bankroll as a competitor herself. Bailey purchased Valiant Livy from the breeder at the 2021 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale for $220,000.
Jess Sass Me’s brood includes Sass Cartel (Corona Cartel-Jess Sass Me), who finished second in this race. Another Stinebaugh trainee, Sass Cartel is owned by Horton Racing LLC and had Francisco Calderon aboard.
Whirlaway Valentine (Whirlaway Red-Lil Miss Party Doll) placed third for MRB Racing LLC. The Manuel Rodriguez trainee had Esgar Ramirez in the irons.
Bluemoon Arising (First Moonflash-Jess A
Full Moon), Tyger King, Free From Corona (Mr Jess Perry-Aquafina), Always Interesting (Seperate Interest-Always Dreaming), Hes Jess Relentless (Hes Relentless-Dash and Sass), Kartendo Fast Dash (Pool-Award Easy Dash), and Crimson Cash (Open Me a Corona-Zoom in on Me) round out the order of finish. Capo On Fire scratched.
