Vytaliti secured the first stakes win of her career in the $38,055 Q-Racing Lone Star Park Distaff Challenge on Sept. 29. With jockey Ali Rivera in the saddle, Vytaliti broke on top and went wire-to-wire, crossing the wire first with a 3/4-length advantage.
The $18,647 winner’s share of the purse increases Vytaliti’s total bankroll to $134,670 and improves her record to six firsts, one second, and two thirds from 15 starts. The sorrel filly is trained by James Gonzales III and placed third in the Rainbow Oaks-G1 last year.
Owner Victor Diaz purchased Vytaliti at the 2020 TQHA Yearling Sale for $47,000 from breeder Bobby D. Cox. The sorrel filly is out of winning mare Zenergy, who has produced 100% winners from 10 starters, including four stakes winners. Hallmarke, a half-sister to Vytaliti, has a record
of five firsts, six seconds, and three thirds from 19 starts, earnings of $100,828, and was first in the Cherokee Overnight Stakes in April.
Pops First Lady (Apollitical Jess-Shazooms Pop Pop) crossed the wire second for owner Ruse Ranch, LLC. Pops First Lady is trained by Robi Meche
and Bryan Candanosa had the riding assignment. She placed second in the Q-Racing Video Ruidoso Downs Distaff Challenge-G3 in August.
Race favorite Fabulous Rachel (One Fabulous Eagle-Teller Baja) finished third by a nose under jockey Juan Pulido. The four-year-old filly is owned by Darling Farms and is trained by Waylan Melton. Her previous stakes performances this year include a first in the Junos Request Stakes-G1 and a second in the Decketta Stakes-G2.
Completing the field were On The Kool Side (Lil Kool Wagon-Lusi), Apolitical Sass (Apollitical Jess-Jess Sass Me), Lipstick Promise (A Revenant-A Passionate Lady), and Big Drama Ali (Big Drama- Ali Cartel).

Bitterroots Wagon scored his second stakes victory in the $48,789 Alberta Bred Futurity-RG3 at Century Downs on Oct. 22.
Ridden by O. Hernandez, the gelding broke from
the 4-post in second, but quickly secured the lead and was never headed throughout the 350 yards. They crossed the wire a neck in front to stop the clock in :17.814, while posting a career best 102 speed index.
Bitterroots Wagon is owned by the partnership of breeder Glenn Wills and trainer Buckey Stockwell.
In the first start of his career, Bitterroots Wagon set a New Track Record of :15.906 for 300 yards at Century Mile during the trials for the Sale Stakes Futurity.
The gelding has now won six races from nine starts and the $21,955 winner’s share of the purse boosted his total lifetime earnings to $54,021. His other
stakes appearances include a victory in the Sale Stakes Futurity in June and he finished fourth in the Canada Cup Futurity-RG3 in September.
Wills bred Bitterroots Wagon out of winner Bitterroot Corona, who ran second in the 2015 Alberta Stallion Derby and third in the Alberta Bred Derby. Bitterroots Wagon is her first winner from two starters.
Get It Good (JD Wagon Boss-Status Symbal) and jockey D. Benitez secured 2nd. Also trained by Buckey Stockwell, the gelding is owned by WT Ranches Ltd.
Jeffrey R W Rath’s O Lets Be First (First Timber- Lets Get Going) was third. The Wesley Oulton trainee had Francisco Guerrero in the irons.

Hott Ur Nott), Ms Mini Warrior (Goldin Warrior- Sparkling Hy), Winkins Wagon Boss (JD Wagon Boss-Winkin Dynasty), DJ Bright Ruby (Gone To The Mountain-DJ Bright August), Mountain Night Train (Gone To The Mountain-DJ Bright Jetstream) and Northfork Three Ten (Three Ten To Yuma B-Northfork Jess) completed the order of finish.

Already a successful stakes winner, Northfork Boss added another victory to his resumé, winning the $25,789 Alberta Bred Derby at Century Downs on Oct. 22.
O. Hernandez and Northfork Boss broke on
top from the 8-post and quickly slipped into fourth where they spent the majority of the 400 yard sprint. The duo dug in late to cross the wire a 1/2-length
in front. Finishing in a time of :20.166, the gelding logged a 99 speed index.
In addition to this victory, Northfork Boss has also won the 2022 Alberta Bred Futurity-RG3, where he set a New Track Record for 350 yards, and the Sale Stakes Futurity. He placed in six other stakes events.
The gelding is owned by a partnership consisting of Delton Gehring, Glenn Wills, who also bred the gelding, and Buckey Stockwell, who also trains the gelding. The $12,038 winner’s share of the purse pushed his total bankroll to $79,752 and he has hit the board in 14 of his 16 starts.
Wills bred Northfork Boss out of multiple stakes palced Northfork Babe, who has produced three winners from four starters. Northfork Boss is her first stakes winner.
Heza Majestic Hero (Majestic Cartel-Weeds In My Roses) and C. Benitez finished second for owner Gina Fehr and trainer Misael Moreno.
Junk Drawer (Obsessed With Corona- Concealed Attraction) came in third under Martin Ortiz for owner/trainer Laurie Ferguson.
Tulsa Timber (First Timber-Mars Move), Springeleer (Duponte-First Sassy Timber), FDD Fast Man (Big Lew-Winkin Dynasty), Eyemadashin (Dashin By All-Red Eye Jess) and Appreciate (Ivory James-Enjoy The Corona) completed the order of finish. Jamez Bond and Timber Bunny were scratched.
