Downs on Aug. 23.
Prepped by Bernard Baca for owners Ray and

The fastest qualifier, he was coming off
of a 1 1/2-length victory in the second of two Albuquerque Distance Challenge trials on Aug. 8.
Madewell has won six of 27 starts while racing in Oklahoma and New Mexico, and all of his wins have come at the 870-yard distance. The $26,165 winner’s share of the purse from his second career stakes score increased his bankroll to $176,304, of which $176,214 has been earned from 26 outs at the 870 trip.
Madewell’s career resume includes a 1/2-length win in last year’s 870-yard $50,000 Remington Distance Championship-G2 at Remington Park.

Bitterroot Futurity-RG3
PROUD MOVIN RENEGADE
by Tracy Gantz
If not for gate antics in his first start, Proud Movin Renegade would be undefeated. He took a three- race winning streak into the $95,604 Bitterroot
Futurity-RG3 at Pocatello Downs on July 31 and extended it to four with a sparkling victory.
Jesus Valenzuela has piloted Proud Movin Renegade in each of the gelding’s starts. They won their July 17 trial as the 2nd-fastest qualifier and went off as the 3-1 second choice in the final. Breaking second-to-last, Proud Movin Renegade made up ground quickly in the 350-yard event to win by 1-length in :17.440, for a 102 speed index.
Riley Moosman trains Proud Movin Renegade for owner-breeder XG Bar Racing LLC. In addition to the Futurity trial and final, Proud Movin Renegade won a futurity trial and consolation at Laurel Brown.
XG Bar Racing bred Proud Movin Renegade out of unraced Proud Moon Bug. The mare has produced four winners in five starters, including stakes winner Makinproudmoves and stakes-placed Pappas Lil Bug.
The Prize Ferarri (The Louisiana Cartel-Ferarri Fast Prize) ran second under jockey Jesus Canales
for owners RTM Stables, Robin Dunn, and Larry Chapple, and trainer Mark Hanson. The gelding also finished second in the Crush The Curve Futurity.
