Race record: 6-2-1-3(1) • Day 1, Race #16 • Famous And Easy and Jose Alvarez bumped a rival at the break, but went on to win their trial by a neck.
Jettz was 3rd in his first start in the trials to the Remington Park Futurity in April. He qualified to the $891,900 Remington Park Futurity-RG1 finals, where he broke toward the rear of the pack from the 8-post. The gelding was running 3rd in the stretch, but was outfinished and crossed the wire in 5th. Next, the gelding stepped out in a Ruidoso Futurity trial. Jettz broke 2nd from the 9-post, was on top at the first call and led the remaining distance to cross the wire first by a neck to qualify to the Grade 1 finals. In those, Jettz drew the 10-post and broke mid-pack, grabbing 3rd at the first call and maintained his position throughout to finish 3rd in the $1 million Ruidoso Futurity. The fifth
out for the gelding came in a trial for the Rainbow Futurity, where he was 2nd and did not qualify to the finals.In his All American Futurity trial, Jettz bob- bled at the break from the 3-gate and was in 2nd by the first call. Jettz grabbed a 1-length lead at the top of the stretch hit the wire first by an impressive 2 3/4-lengths. Ridden by Francisco Calderon for trainer John Buchanan, Jettz qualified 7th overall. Homebred by Bobby D. Cox, the gelding is by stakes winner One Fabulous Eagle, who was 2nd in the 2015 All American Futurity- G1 and whose first foals are 2 year olds of 2020. Jettz is out of an unraced full sister to Champion Brimmerton and is a half-sibling to Champion Wahoo.
   Another homebred, Famous And Easy became the 8th fastest qualifier to the All American Futurity from day 1 of the trials after he scored a neck win in his heat. The gelding bumped into a rival at the break from the 4-post, grabbed the lead in the stretch and crossed the wire first by a neck under Jose Alvarez. Famous And Easy began his career at Remington Park in trials for the Oklahoma Futurity where he finished 2nd and did not qualify. Next, he was 3rd in a maiden race, then moved to Ruidoso Downs and won his trial to the Ruidoso Futurity by a neck, but did not qualify. Next, the gelding ran 3rd in a trial for the Rainbow
Futurity. He qualified for the Juvenile and was 3rd in that race after a late effort by a rival who took 2nd. Famous And Easy is trained by Blane Wood for breed- ers/owners Mark & Annette McCloy. Famous And Easy is by Champion One Famous Eagle, sire of 7 Champions, including 3 All American Futurity winners in World Champion One Dashing Eagle (2012), Champion Imperial Eagle (2016) and Fly Baby Fly (2017) and one All American Derby winner in Champion Hotstepper (2018). Famous And Easy is out of stakes finalist Easeful Dinastia and is a half-sibling to 2018 Rainbow Futurity-G1 winner MM Fourinthemorning.
