All American Derby trials, Gold Heart Eagle V was bumped leaving the 3-post, but recovered immediately to cross the wire with an impressive 4-length lead and the fastest qualifying time. Gold Heart Eagle V is bred by Christine Hudson, owned by Valeriano Racing Stables LLC and trained by Monty Arrossa. The colt is a full brother to stakes winner and All American Futurity- G1 runner-up One Fabulous Eagle ($664,547). His second dam is graded stakes placed Strength Of Heart.
HOTSEMPTING SI 99, $575,420
Hotsempting entered the All American Derby trials with a graded stakes victory in the 2020 $887,266 Ruidoso Derby-G1. In these trials, the filly broke on top from the 9-post, had 1 1/2-lengths on the field at the first call and at the top of the stretch, finishing with a 1-length mar- gin. The victory posted the second fastest qualifying time for owners Miguel & Maurico Gallegos and trainer Sergio Ibarra. Bred by Fulton Quien Sabe Ranches LP, Hotsempting came into the trials following a second-place finish by just a slim nose in the Ruidoso Derby-G1. The filly is a half-sister to 2-time Champion and All American Derby-G1 winner Hotstepper ($1,416,516) and is out of graded stakes winner and New Track Record setter Pandorum ($70,437).
JESS SUMOKIN HOT si 97, $69,933
Jess Sumokin Hot and Ricky Ramirez broke in fifth after a bumped start from the 8-post. They recovered quickly to grab the lead by a head at the first call and continued to lengthen their margin to cross the wire 1-length in front for the third qualifying time. Trained by Charles Duke Shults for owner Paragon Farms LLC, the gelding was coming off of a fourth- place finish in the Rainbow Derby-G1. Bred by Corner K Quarter Horses LLC, Jess Sumokin Hot is a half-brother to stakes winner JM Country Man ($194,852) and stakes placed Su- mokeonthewater. Jess Sumokin Hot is out of graded stakes winner Sumokin ($307,315), who is a half-sister to stakes winners Twisted Sifter ($91,314) and Blue Corazon ($431,252).

Cers Final Try came into the trials with a 2-win race streak that included the $710,414 Rainbow Der- by-G1. The gelding and Alfredo Sigala broke in fourth from the 4-gate in their All American Derby trial and ran in second position early, moving to first by the top of the stretch. In a driving finish, he crossed the wire 3/4-lengths in front, posting the fourth qualifying time for breeder/owner Christina Robinson and trainer Tony Sedillo. Cers Final Try is out of a half-sister to Heritage Place Futurity-G1 winner and New Track Record setter Southern Takes All ($369,093). The gelding’s second dam is Ruidoso Futurity-G1 finalist Shes Takes All.
LOVE IS EVERYTHING V si 103, $292,276
Love Is Everything V has already proved to be a successful stakes runner, winning the $232,600 Oklahoma Derby-G3, $48,500 Mr Master Bug Stakes-G3, $100,000 Rainbow Invitational, and $45,000 Jack Brooks Stakes. Ridden by Jimmy Brooks in this event, the gelding broke well from the outside post, had the lead at first call, and made a driving finish to win his trial by a neck. The clock- ing was good for the fifth fastest qualifying time for owner James Sills and trainer Eddie D. Willis. The gelding was also a finalist in the 2019 Rainbow Futurity-G1 and Black Gold 440 Champion- ship Futurity. Bred by Valeriano Racing Stables LLC, Love Is Everything V is out of graded stakes winner Echoes Of Love.
