Diamond Racing Stables’ For The Irony kept
his perfect record intact with a wire-to-wire, 1 1/4-length win in the 400-yard Rainbow Juvenile at
Ruidoso Downs on July 19.

Ibarra, For The Irony stopped the timer in :19.968, posting an 88 sped index, while scoring his fourth win in as many outs.
The $42,000 winner’s share of the purse from his second career stakes victory pushed the son of Valiant Hero’s bankroll to $93,600. For The Irony’s resume includes a victory in the $100,000 Ruidoso Juvenile Stakes on June 7.
Stone Chase Stables LLC bred For The Irony out of unraced Dare You To Beat Me. The geld- ing was a $20,000 purchase at last year’s Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale. For The Irony is her first starter. His second dam, the Victory Dash mare Daring Difference, won the 1994 Heritage Place Futurity-G1 and was a finalist in Noblesse Six’s All American Futurity-G1.
One Eagles Delight (One Famous Eagle-Volcoms Delight) ran second for owner L O S LLC. Esgar Ramirez rode the gelding for trainer Sergio Ibarra.
Famous And Easy (One Famous Eagle-Easeful Dinastia) finished third under Jose Alvarez for owners Mark and Annette McCloy and trainer Blane Wood. The gelding has won or placed in all of his five starts.
Paint Me Tres (Tres Seis-Paint Me Anywhere), Incredible Hocks B (Kiss My Hocks-Dashaway Eagle), Speed Dynasty (FDD Dynasty-Jess Sass Me), Mikes Last Shot (PYC Paint Your Wagon- Vikes Dashing), Big Cash Cartel (Corona Cartel- Big Biz Perry), First Prize Charmer (First Prize Stanley-Dm Charmer) and Tommys Diamond (Jesse James Jr-Silver Tongued Chick) completed the order of finish.
Zia 870 Championship

Wascallywittlewabbit scored his first stakes victory in the $50,000 Zia 870 Championship at Ruidoso Downs on July 26.
Ridden by Benito Baca, the gelding broke from the 7-post on top and quickly established a comfort- able 2-length lead. They stretched their legs in the stretch, crossing the finish line with an impressive 2 1/2-length lead.
The bay gelding completed the 870 yards on a muddy (sealed) track in :45.089, posting a 104 speed index. Wascallywittlewabbit brought home the $30,000 winner’s share of the purse for owner Rogers Farms and trainer Michael Joiner.
Wascallywittlewabbit now has a race record of 13-6(1)-1-0. The gelding was coming off back-to- back allowance wins.
Mike Weatherly bred Wascallywittlewabbit out of unraced Rabbits N Diamonds. She has produced one winner from two starters.
Wascallywittlewabbit’s stablemate Regards Miracle (Chicks Regard-Old Lady Mitchell) chased the winner and finished second best for owners Joe Dee Brooks, Ted Rushing, Scott Bryant and R. Lee Lewis. L. Martinez was in the saddle. The gelding won the 2018 New Mexico Classic Cup 870 Championship.
Hollywood Henry TB (Roll Hennessy Roll- Ringback) and jockey Miguel Fuentes Jr. put it
in high gear late to pocket third place money. He is owned by Benny A. Vanecek and trained by Fred Danley. The gelding won the Mt. Cristo Rey Handicap last year.
Dan The Flashman (First Moonflash- Domeinitchy TB), Weappear TB (Devon Lane- Reappear), Diabolical Ruler TB (Diabolical-West Ruler) and Rod James (Jesse James Jr-Lady Rubina) completed the order of finish. Why Buy The Cow was scratched.
Zia Juvenile
BIGG DEE

Bigg Dee secured his first stakes win in the $50,000 Zia Juvenile at Ruidoso Downs on July 26.
The gelding broke in second from the 7-post
under Mario Delgado and quickly grabbed the lead. The pair received the first call with a head margin, and pulled away from there. Midway down the stretch, Mario knew it was well in hand and let Bigg Dee soar across the finish line 1 1/4-length in front.
Trained by James Gonzales II, the duo completed the 400 yards in :19.793, posting a 92 speed index.
Running for owner Rex Wells, Bigg Dee earned the $21,000 winner’s share of the purse, which pushed his lifetime earnings to $25,700. The gelding now has a race record of 4-2(1)-1-0.
MJ Farms bred Bigg Dee out of lightly raced Miss Woody Dee, a half sister to Rollickin Red, who won the Challenger Six Handicap, New Mexico Horsemen’s Association Handicap (twice) and Zia 870 Championship. Bigg Dee is Miss Woody Dee’s first starter. Bigg Dee’s second dam is Deeheiress, winner of the Miss Princess Handicap-G3 and Anahem Handicap.
Out N Gone (Jesse James Jr-Volcom Flame) won his trial heat but was second best on this day under Noe Garcia Jr. for owner Cream Of The Crop Inc. and trainer Heath Taylor.
Famous Clyde (Winners Version-Miss Dash Ta Dial) and jockey Alan Hernandez finished third for owner Drew Swasey and trainer Wesley Giles.
Have Another One (Jesse James Jr-Wish You Had One To) finished in fourth place and was followed across the finish line by Cruse (Jesse James Jr-Champagne Lane), CC Moonflash (First Moonflash-CC Kachina Eagle), Heza Classy Now (Rock Solid Jess-Shez Classy Now), Im Jess Sixy (Jess A Chicks-Subtly Sixy), Budget Bomber (One Handsome Man-Fly Ta Cartel) and Senor Cartel (Mr Special Cartel-Lil Bit Toxic B).
