ended in a dead heat between Blazen Panther and Admiral Zoomwalt at Fair Meadows on July 28.
Blazen Panther broke from the inside gate in second, but by the first call he found himself at the rear under Daniel Torres. The pair bought back ground with the gelding’s stride and started to inch their way back to the front. At the stretch they were in fifth, but swung five wide throughout the race and closed fast on the line. The pair sprinted the 870-yard track in :46.479 seconds, earning an 89 speed index.
Blazen Panther’s lifetime earnings rose to $113,590 after claiming the $6,964 winner’s share of the purse for owner and trainer Luz Chavira. B. Cockrell & L. Vanhoozer bred the gelding out of multiple stakes winner Blazen Madie.
Favorite, Admiral Zoomwalt took an alternate path to victory in his fifth stakes win and second Walter Merrick Memorial victory, but the result was just as satisfying. The 5-year-old sorrel gelding broke from the 3-gate in fourth under James Flores. He asserted his dominance over the field by the stretch and drove to the finish. The pair took the path of least resistance vying only two wide.
The gelding’s lifetime earnings peaked at $148,415 after winning the $6,964 winner’s share of the purse for owner Rogelio Marquez, Jr. and trainer John Weghorst. Mikes Nobles and Christine Hudson bred the gelding out of winner Tellin It All.
Droppin Timber (First Timber-Droppindead Gorgeous) finished second under Curtis Kimes for owner Frank J. Greenhaw and trainer Orrin Cogburn.
Im The Key (Shazoom-Royal Classic Chick), Thespeedprofessor (FuryoftheWind-Dreams For Lyndsie) & Beckham (Easy Doux-Bashful Blush) completed the order of finish.

for four-year olds and up at Fair Meadows at Tulsa, on July 8.
The 5-year-old gray gelding had a long list of first place finishes coming into this race, but never in a stakes challenge. He broke from the 9th post position in second and was bumped, but escaped the gate safely. Sexy And I Know It B built a 1/2-length lead by the first call and only had a mind for stretching that lead. He and jockey Jose Vega drew away from any rivals and finished 1 1/4-lengths ahead at the line.
The pair completed the 350-yard fast track in :17.508, earning a career high 97 speed index. Sexy And I Know It B captured the $10,230 winner’s share of the purse, raising his lifetime earnings to
a total of $70,039 for owner Green D Ranch LLC and trainer Miguel Banuelos. The gelding’s record is now 17-7(1)-2(1)-1, with a third place finish in this year’s Golden Driller Stakes on June 18.
Bielau Oaks bred Sexy And I Know It B is out of 4-time winner Sheza Lilbituino. The Grade 1 finalist has produced 100% money earners from 18 starters, including multiple-stakes winner/top earner Jess A Lil Bit More and stakes winner Paloma Blanca B.
VF Eyebaman (Pappasito-Eyebalady) was second under Paul Nieto for owner Longino Garcia & trainer Juan J Gomez. Apollitical Man (Apollitical Jess-Tonys Corona Queen) was third under Mario Delgado for Jon & Brant Barley and trainer John Weghorst.
Another Desire (Desirio-Another Effort), Swype (Ivory James-Jessy Jane), Load Your Guns (Corona Cartel-Dashing Little Reba), Ryder (Red Storm Cat-Takin On Smashingly), Mr James Quick (Jesse James Jr-Miss Corona Quick), Country Mans Jazz (Bono Jazz-Country Mans Chick) and Cotton Beck (Country Mans Chick-Oh Dusty Bunny) completed the order of finish.

Stakes for 3-year-olds and upward at Fair Meadows at Tulsa on July 28, just 20 days after winning the Fair Meadows Maturity.
The gray gelding broke from the 10th post posi- tion in first and never relinquished the spot. He was the favorite from the outset and proved why. Sexy And I Know It B built a 1/2-length lead at the first call, striding away from the rest of the field. He continued to stretch his lead under jockey Jesus Salazar until they crossed the line 3/4-length ahead of their rivals. The wire-to-wire victory marks the gelding’s second stakes win at Fair Meadows this month and his second over- all as well. The pair sprinted the 350-yard fast track in an impressive :17.536, earning a 96 speed index.
