PAPPAS IN THE HOUSE

Pappas In The House put on an impressive per- formance in the Jack Rhoden Memorial Bonus Challenge on July 16 at Crooked River Roundup in
Prineville, Oregon.
It had been almost a year since the three-year-
old bay gelding had his picture taken at Les Bois Park. Last summer, he won five out of six races, with four consecutive victories, including the Bitterroot Futurity and the Les Bois Juvenile Challenge.
He also finished third that year in the Knight Transportation Futurity and was a finalist in the AQHA Juvenile Challenge Championship-G2.
Rider Eddie Aceves, who rode the gelding in most of his races in 2015, was back in the saddle for the Jack Rhoden Memorial Challenge.
Pappas In The House stepped away from the 5-post and received the first call. The gelding gradu- ally inched away from the crowd, receiving every call and crossing the line a neck in front with a time of :13.315 to earn a speed index of 101.
The total purse was worth $17,020 and the first place money was $9,361. With that addition to
his previous earnings, Pappas In The House has a bankroll of $110,194 and a race record of six wins from 11 starts.
Pappas In The House is owned by Rob Evans and Hanson Racing, LLC. The gelding is trained by Mark Hanson and was bred in Oklahoma by MacKie Racing, LLC out of 2-time Champion and New World Record setter Mongoose Jet Eye. The mare owns a 106 speed index and has total earnings of $447,550, winning five stakes events. She has produced 100% money earners from 13 starters, including five stakes horses. Pappas In The House is a full sibling to the top earner in the brood, stakes placed Pajarita Sita, as well as to stakes winner/New Track Record setter Madresita.
BH Country Chrome (Country Quick Dash- Apollo Snowbound) was a game second. He is owned by Juan C. Sanguino and trained by Silvestre Sanguino. Eduardo Gutierrez-Sosa was in the irons.
With a big effort, One Runaway Opener (One Sweet Jess-Runaway Eye Opener) got the nod
to secure third for owner/trainer Benito Curiel. Guillermo Muro was in the saddle.
My Best Bunny Yet (Best Advice-Royal Time Bunny), Cousin Wheelz (Foose-Spring Bling), A Tree Dash (Toast To Dash-Three Chicks Royal), Miss Country Chicks (Country Chicks Man-Legacys Echo) and Let It Rain (TR Dasher-Proud Checker) completed the order of finish.
