                                 The heart of the Gwendolyn Eaves breeding program was the mare Our Third Delight, who was her first mare to earn the AQHA Dam of Distinction title. Gwendolyn bought Our Third Delight as a yearling from John Colville of Paramount, California. Colville was the owner of the 1974 AQHA Racing World Champion Tiny’s Gay. A partnership between Colville and Ray Olds
is listed as the breeder of Our Third Delight, who was sired by Reb’s Policy TB and out of Tiny’s Delight, a full sister to Tiny’s Gay.
Colville would buy both Tiny’s Gay and Tiny’s Delight from Dr. and Mrs. Paul Travis of the Travis Ranch in Norman, Oklahoma. Tiny’s Delight is listed as bred by C and M Horses Inc. and owned by the Travis Ranch when he bought her. Tiny’s Gay was bred
by the Paul Travis. They were sired by Tiny Watch who stood for many years at the Travis Ranch. Both Tiny’s Gay and Tiny’s Delight were out of Gay’s Delight by Rocket Bar.
Tiny’s Delight, a race winner with earnings of $2,524, became the dam of seven foals with four starters/ROM and one stakes winner. Her runners earned $66,690. Our Third Delight, who earned $53,588 and was the leading money winner out of this mare, was a finalist in the 1983 Dash For Cash Futurity-G1with a fourth place finish.
Our Third Delight would become one of the initial AQHA Dams of Distinction in 2006, the first year the award was given. She produced 15 foals, with 12 starters/ROM, four stakes winners, two racing Champions, and a Champion Broodmare. Her Champions include Dean Miracle, Fortune Of Delight, and Tres Seis.
The first stakes winner Our Third Delight produced was Our Casanova by Casady Casanova. He won the Santa Domingo Handicap and made 54 starts with seven wins, five seconds and nine thirds, earning $38,874.
The second Our Third Delight stakes winner was Fortune Of Delight by Six Fortunes. She got her stakes win in the El Tesoro De Oro Derby. She qualified for 11 more stakes races with several stakes placed finishes, including a second in the Rainbow Silver Cup-G1 and a third in the World’s Championship Classic-G1. This mare earned $100,269 winning eight of her 35 starts, with ten seconds and seven thirds.
Fortune Of Delight would become Gwendolyn’s second AQHA Dam of Distinction and the AQHA Broodmare of the Year in 1999. The mare produced 26 foals with 17 starters, 16 ROM, and five stakes winners. Hes My Dasher, by Dash Thru Traffic, was the first stakes winner, winning the 1998 Rainbow Futurity-G1 and the 2002 Double Bid Handicap. He made the finals
 Our Third Delight is the dam of Tres Seis who in 2006 became one of the initial AQHA Dams of Distinction in the first year the award was given. The mare was at the heart of Gwendolyn Eaves’ breeding program. Our Third Delight is tied with only three other mares as the #1 leading dam of Champions.
Our Casanova, who made 54 starts and was the first stakes winner out of Our Third Delight, wins the 1990 Santo Domingo Handicap at The Downs at Albuquerque.
Fortune Of Delight, who was the 1999 Champion Broodmare and Gwendolyn Eaves’ second AQHA Dam of Distinction, wins the 1992 El Tesoro De Oro Derby at The Downs at Santa Fe. Bred and owned by Eaves, Fortune Of Delight went on to produce Champions A Delightful Dasher and Hes My Dasher.
                                                       Hes My Dasher, bred and owned by Gwendolyn Eaves and the first stakes winner out of Fortune Of Delight, was the 1998 Champion 2-Year-Old Gelding.
A Delightful Dasher, bred and owned by Gwendolyn Eaves and the second stakes winner out of Fortune Of Delight, was the 1999 Champion 2 Year Old and Champion 2-Year-Old Gelding.
