America Emerald Downs Championship Challenge. Bill Hoburg owns, bred and trains BH Lisas Boy,

BH Lisas Boy looked sharp while dashing to his 2nd straight win and 4th victory of his sophomore campaign. He broke well from the 6-hole, opening a 1/2-length lead by the 1st call. BH Lisas Boy widened his lead at every remaining call, enjoying a 1-length advantage at the stretch before pulling away to win by 1 3/4-lengths. Donald Watson rode Heza Fast Rogue to a wire-to- wire victory in the $35,000 Amelia Belle Stakes on Oct. 3 for Louisiana-breds at Evangeline Downs.
Prepped by Kevin Broussard for owners Brock Broussard and Jacques Bourque, Heza Fast Rogue was out on the lead, had 1/2-length by the first call and held that margin to the wire. The 4-year-old colt colt covered 350 yards in 17.568 and earned a 96 speed index.
Campaigned exclusively in Louisiana, Heza Fast Rogue has now won eight of 28 races, and the $21,000 winner’s share from the Amelia Belle Stakes purse increased his bankroll to $306,950. His three career stakes victories include a 1 1/2-length win in last year’s $84,686 Mardi Gras Derby at Louisiana Downs.
Heza Fast Rogue, who was bred by Triple M Farms LLC of Broussard, Louisiana, is one of eight winners from 12 starters produced by Miss Jess Rogue, who won the 2005 Zia Juvenile Invitational Stakes at Ruidoso Downs. The gelding’s second dam, the mare Easily A Rogue, was a multiple graded stakes winner at Los Alamitos and Remington Park from 1992-93.
Second-placed JW Divino Comento (First Comment-By Divine Right) races for Ax’l Metal Roofing. John Hamilton rode the 4-year-old sorrel gelding for trainer Orlando Orozco.

Evangeline Downs Dash
SCOOPIES LEAVING YOU
by Michael Compton
Scoopies Leaving You outsprinted 9 rivals to the wire in the $20,000 Evangeline Downs Dash on Oct. 2, but securing the victory in the 220-yard test required longer than the winning time of :11.798. With Donald Watson aboard, Scoopies Leaving You grabbed the lead from his far outside post posi- tion soon after the start. He angled in through the lane, proving best by a neck in a 3-horse photo finish on the line. Two objections were lodged against Scoopies Leaving You—one by jockey Armando Ramirez, who rode runner-up Zoomin For Bugs, and one from Guadalupe Garza Jr., the trainer of 7th-place finisher RBD Jessaswingin. Both claims of foul for interference were disallowed by the stewards. Sent off as the 8-5 race favorite, Scoopies Leaving You picked up the $12,000 winner’s share of the purse for owner Joel Galindo. It was the 10th win from 20 lifetime starts for the Louisiana-bred,
who now has earnings of $177,280. Trainer Kevin Broussard saddled the winner.
Scoopies Leaving You was bred by Gerald Libersat out of the stakes-placed mare Ms Scoopies Toast. A winner in 3 of 30 outings during her racing career, Ms Scoopies Toast finished 3rd in the 2007 Party Girl Stakes at Louisiana Downs en route to career earnings of $71,369.
Graded stakes-placed Zooming For Bugs (Zoomin For Bux-Toast to Bugs) finished a close 2nd, just miss- ing for Joan Rood and trainer Randy Hebert. Triple M Farms’ homebred Jess A Rogue (Heza Fast Dash-Miss Jess Rogue) rallied late to gain the show spot under Alfonso Lujan for trainer Trey Ellis. Hezadashinbye (Tempting Dash-Goinbye), Rosouti (Agouti-Rose
For Windy), PM Runaway Dash (Heza Fast Dash- Runaway Lady Oak), RBD Jessaswingin (Swingin Jess- Furby), I Love This Dash (Heza Fast Dash-I Love This Bar), Bye Bye Lulu (Heza Fast Dash-Easy To Dazzle) Embrujo Star (Embrujo FG-Allas Toast) followed.
