                 San Lorenzo Jet’s winning connections include owner Rogelio Marquez Jr., trainer Jesus Marquez, jockey David Alvarez and breeders Tim and Jennie Rogers of Rogers Farm.

With the win and the $372,151 winner’s share of the purse, San Lorenzo Jet increased his bankroll to $553,410. The precocious colt has dominated his opposition in all four career starts. He won his debut by a length, taking his Laddie trial on May 6. After winning the Laddie by 1 1/2-lengths, he captured his Lee Berwick trial by an eye-opening 2 1/4-lengths on June 24.
San Lorenzo Jet was bred in Louisiana by the Rogers Farm of Tim and Jennie Rogers. The untested colt, who was sold under the name of Rf Delta Jet in the sale, is produced from the Fly Jess Fly mare Miss Delta Duck, a stakes-placed earner of $73,159 for Rogers Farms during her racing career.
Lee Berwick runner-up Ruse Splash Train (Freighttrain B-Perrys Splash N Dash) and jockey J.R. Ramirez hopped at the start but put in a strong late surge to secure the place spot. The filly, who broke her maiden with a win
in her trial heat, is a Ruse Ranch homebred trained by Luis Ramirez.
Konnan Cartel (Five Bar Cartel-Jet Black Cartel), ridden by Ubaldo Luna, dueled throughout, and finished third just a nose behind the runner-up. The brown gelding is owned by Dania Castellanos and is conditioned by Kenneth Roberts Sr. The three-time winner finished fourth to San Lorenzo Jet in the Laddie Futurity before winning his trial heat for the Lee Berwick. Luis Armando Castellanos bred the horse in Louisiana.
TF One Sweet Wokatee (One Sweet Jess-Wokatee), Jeg Fascination (Freighttrain
B-Ja Fascination), Carters Wild Cat (Carters Cartel-Delightful Cat), and San Lorenzo Train (Freighttrain B-Moehrig) completed the order of finish. Party Tyme, and Xtra were scratched.
