HIGH TIME TO FLY

Fastest qualifier from the Sept. 28 trials, High Time To Fly scored his first stakes win in the $149,476 Jim Bader Futurity at Prairie Meadows
on Oct. 13. The bay gelding stepped away from the 7-post in third under jockey Bonifacio Quiroz and rallied strongly, dueling with JA Go Forest Go and Streakin Jesszee to cross the wire 1/2-length in front.
High Time To Fly completed the 350 yards in :17.969, posting an 86 speed index and collecting the $67,264 first place check for owner Jeff State and trainer Alex Wessels. The gelding now boasts a bankroll worth $76,279 and a race record of 4-2(1)-1-0.
Michael Teel bred High Time To Fly out of 2-time winner Regally Rare, a half-sister to 2001
La Pacifica Handicap winner Summertime Quickie and 2011 OQHRA Fall Classic Stakes winner Hawkinson Time. Regally Rare has produced 100% money earners from 17 starters, including 2-time New Track Record setter Struttin High, winner of the 2009 Two Rivers Stakes-G3 and 2007 IQHRA Fall Sale Futuirty-RG3. Ajs High is her top earner and has 11 stakes wins and $852,121 in earnings. High Time To Fly becomes the third stakes winner in the brood.

Making just his second career start at the clas- sic 440-yard distance, Bye Byefreighttrain sprinted to a 3/4-length victory in the $45,000 Two
Rivers Stakes-G3 at Prairie Meadows on Oct. 13. Bye Byefreighttrain made his quarter-mile trip
in :21.888 and posted a 95 speed index against a reported 10-mph head wind. Roberto Valero rode the homebred 5-year-old gelding for owner/breeder L.P. Frank and trainer Shawna Manriquez.
Raced in five states, Bye Byefreighttrain has won nine of 36 starts, including 2015 Oklahoma Horsemen’s Association Mystery Futurity-RG3. The $24,750 winner’s share of the Two Rivers Stakes purse increased his bankroll to $313,454.
Bye Byefreighttrain was bred in Oklahoma, and he was stretching out in distance off his second-place run in the 400-yard Keokuk Stakes-G3 at Prairie Meadows on Sept. 15.
The gelding is 1 of 5 winners from 7 starters foaled by Bye Bye Bygones. Bye Byefreighttrain is a 1/2-brother to I V Gone, a 5-time stakes winner who ran second in the 2014 Lovington Stakes-G2 at Zia Park. His second dam is stakes-winner Sweet Adios.

Streak Jase notched his second stakes victory in the $25,000 Covered Bridges Stakes at Prairie Meadows on Oct. 13.
Streak Jase broke in fifth from the seven-post under rider Cerapio Figueroa and was carried ten wide around the turn. With grit and determination, however, the sorrel gelding rallied and crossed the wire 1 1/4-length in front.
The pair completed the 870 yards in :46.316, earning an 89 speed index.
The gelding also earned first place money worth $14,500 for owner Ramon Trejo and trainer Zachary Quezada, boosting his total lifetime earn- ings to $75,001.
He now has a race record of 17-7(2)-0-3, includ- ing his 1 14-length victory in the IZYK 870 Stakes at Arapahoe Park earlier this year.
Jackie Brown bred Streak Jase out of winner
Go To Okey, a half-sister to the 1993 Black Gold 300 Futurity and 1994 Black Gold Derby winner Gamblers Peak. Go To Okey has produced 100% money earners from three starters, including winner Timber Okey. Streak Jase is her first stakes winner and top earner.
Wicked Valentine (One Famous Eagle- Only The Wicked) finished second under Lucas Constantin for owners Ann and Brad Tate and trainer Charley Hunt.
Tru Lee Quick (La Jollaroid-Watch Im Quick TB) and Marcus Swiontek were third for owner Duane Swingley and trainer Karin Yike.
Hiclass Man (Brimmerton-Hiclass Kamikaze), Rock Wit Cha Baby (Rock Solid Jess-Arriba Reba), Blue Eyed Andy (Furrtreeous-Flooz Baby) and Baby You A Song (PYC Paint Your Wagon-Penelope Cruzin) completed the order of finish. Mr Jess Cruzin, Snow Phoenix, Streakin In The City and The Designer were scratched.
