SF HOT PASS

Trainer Leon Bard, jockey Francisco Calderon, and SF Hot Pass are a perfect three for three - all three coming in stakes races - since Bard took over the gelding’s training and Calderon began riding him this year. SF Hot Pass most recently added the $75,000 Refrigerator Stakes-G1 at Lone Star Park on Oct. 13.
SF Hot Pass broke on top and kept his head in front at every call. He won by that margin as well, completing the 440 yards in :21.198, posting a 105 speed index.
Prior to this win, SF Hot Pass won the TQHA Classic Stakes-RG2 at Retama Park on July 27 and the Nevill Stakes at Lone Star Park on Sept. 29. Shannon Fisher owns SF Hot Pass, who pocketed the $41,250 winner’s share of the purse to boost his total earnings to $95,780. His race record stands at 14-5(3)-2-0. The gelding was also a finalist in the 2017 West Texas Maturity-G2
P & J Racing Ltd./D. Stroebel bred SF Hot Pass out of unraced Passem Up Perry. She has pro-
duced 100% winners from five starters, including Southern Temptation, winner of the Harris County 550 Stakes and Delta 550 Stakes earlier this year. SF Hot Pass is the second stakes winner in the brood.
Jesse Levario piloted Eye N Capo (Capo De Capi- Satisfeyen) to 2nd for owner Ruben Garcia Montemayor and trainer Josue Ponce. Apollitical Cyclone (Apollitical Jess-Cartels Belle) finished 3rd under Luis Vivanco for owner Texas Drywall Specialties and trainer Adrian Huitron. Followed by Valiant Rogue (Valiant Hero- Azoom Babe), Kowboy Jim (FDD Dynasty-Counting On You), Financial Top (Heza Fast Dash-Financial Leverage), Super Sonic Patriot (Jet Black Patriot-Totally Selfish TB), FDP Rock Solid (Rock Solid Jess-First Down Payment), Lightemupwithcharm (Sizzlin Cartel- Grace Filled Charm) & Apollitical Scout (Apollitical Jess-Swingin Cartel).

ZOOMIN PATRIOT

Zoomin Patriot scored his first stakes win in the $45,065 Dash For Cash Juvenile at Lone Star Park on Oct. 6.
Under Ricky Ramirez, the gelding broke in sec- ond from the 7-post and quickly grabbed the lead at the first call, remaining there and crossing the wire a nose in front. He completed the 400 yards in :19.614, posting a career-best 99 speed index.
Zoomin Patriot brought home the $13,518 win- ner’s share of the purse for owner Claudia Avila. The Rolando Almanza trained gelding took his cumula- tive earnings to $93,121, and his race record stands at 7-2(1)-2-1. Zoomin Patriot, who has made all of his starts in stakes trials and finals, was fourth in the Lee Berwick Futurity-RG1 and fifth in the Louisiana Bred Laddie Futurity-RG2 earlier this year.
Run Bayou Ranch LLC bred Zoomin Patriot out of lightly raced Zippy Zoomer. She has produced 100% money/ROM earners from 2 starters. Zoomin Patriot is her first stakes winner and top earner. His second dam is 3-time Champion Ah Sigh, a 7-time stakes winner who has produced 100% money earn- ers from 11 starters including 2003 La Primera Del Ano Derby-G2 winner Ipomea.
Jordan Eagle (One Famous Eagle-PYC Prize Doll) was second under Jesse Levario for owner Javier Rosique and trainer Josue Ponce.
Moment Of Fury (Furyofthewind-Moment Of Epiphany) and Luis Vivanco were third for owner Rogelio Marquez Jr. and trainer Alberto Omar Solis.
This Guys A Volcom (Volcom-Kimbo Cartel), Fast Prize Drew (Captain Courage-Fast Prize Anna), AHS Streakin Patriot (Jet Black Patriot- Winning Streaker), Abygale (Stellar Rain TB-Tres Dia Noche) and Jakes Baby Wagon (PYC Paint Your Wagon-Jakes Charming Jody) completed the order of finish. B. I. Lone Star Distaff Challenge

Jess Adalida dominated her competition as
the favorite choice in the $39,060 Boehringer Ingelheim Lone Star Distaff Challenge on Oct. 5. Racing for Ruben Garcia Montemayor, Jess Adalida defeated 3-1 second choice Mystical Jess by a clear 3-lengths. Manuel Gutierrez rode the sorrel filly for the first time for trainer Josue Ponce. The filly completed the 400 yards in in :19.663, for a 98 speed index.
Jess Adalida was making her first official start since May 11, when she ran 8th in the Old South Derby at Delta Downs. Campaigned in Texas, New Mexico and Louisiana, the filly has won 6 of 11 starts, and the $17,968 winner’s share of the $39,060 purse pushed her earnings to $94,392. With the win, she also landed a berth in the Nov. 17 AQHA Distaff Challenge Championship-G1 at Los Alamitos. Her 1st stakes win came in 2017 when she captured the Retama Juvenile Challenge by 1 1/2-lengths for a swift career-high 102 speed index.
Double Bar S Ranch LLC bred Jess Adalida out of 2-time winner Wortherweightingold, who was third in the 2008 PCQHRA Breeders’ Derby-G2. She has produced 100% money earners from 6 start- ers, including 4 additional stakes placed runners. Jess Adalida is her first stakes winner and top earner.
