Making just her second start outside Florida, Premier Ethics was a prompt 7-5 favorite in the May 30, $52,080 Juno Request Stakes-G2 for fillies

Premier Ethics prepped for her Remington Park debut with a 1/2-length victory in the fourth of eight 400-yard Heritage Place Derby-G2 trials on May 10.

Premier Ethics was bred in Florida by Rogelio Martinez. The filly is out of the unraced mare Poker Pot Dash, who has produced two starters. Premier Ethics represents her first winner.
Kuhl Wave (Wave Carver-Shazooms Doll) ran 2nd, a neck behind Premier Ethics. Daniel Torres rode Kuhl Wave for owner Miguel Banuelos, who also trains the 5-year-old mare. CJs Rocksolid, a 5-year-old gelding racing for Rockin J Running Horses and Jack Manning, sprinted to his first career stakes victory in the
870-yard Remington Distance Championship-G3 at Remington Park on May 30.
Prepped by Tammy Kay Johnson and ridden by Ricardo Aguirre, CJs Rocksolid stopped the timer in :44.950 while earning a season-best 101 speed index. The gelding’s margin of victory was 2-lengths from Executive Trust, and he banked the $29,946 winner’s share of the $50,480 purse.
A one-time $15,000 claimer, CJs Rocksolid
has won six of 34 starts. He was coming off of a second-place finish in the $59,490 Zoetis Remington Distance Challenge-G3 on May 10.
CJs Rocksolid was bred by Rockin J Running Horses of Gatesville, Texas. He is one of nine win- ners from 16 starters produced by winner Sultry Miss. The gelding is a 1/2-brother to Rockin Shazzam, the winner of the 2005 Tex Mex Stakes
at Zia Park, and Shesa Wild Babe, the runner-up
in the ’03 Ft Pierre Futurity in South Dakota. CJs Rocksolid’s third dam, Denim N Diamonds, was the Champion Aged Mare in 1981 and ’82.
Executive Trust (Executive Menace-Entrust) was the 6-5 favorite in the field of six. The winner of last year’s 870-yard King Rick Rack Stakes, the 4-year- old gelding was ridden by Aldo Arboleda for owner Sherree Meridyth of Odessa, Texas, and trainer Guadalupe Munoz Jr.

ECHOES OF LOVE
by Tracy Gantz
Every year that Echoes Of Love runs at Remington Park, she has improved. Unplaced there at 2
in 2013, she placed twice at 3 in 2014. In 2015 at
Remington, she has been a perfect three-for-three with her most recent victory coming in the May 10 Merial Remington Park Distaff Challenge-G3.
When the gate opened, Echoes Of Love bore in, but jockey G.R. Carter Jr. quickly straightened her out. She was second at that point and responded to Carter to take the lead toward the end of the 400 yards. A winner of her April 25 trial and the 2nd- fastest qualifier, Echoes Of Love won the finals by a neck as the 7-10 favorite in :19.479.
Carter said the filly missed the break just slightly, which might have caused her to bear in. A trainer’s objection on behalf of Thrill Me Baby, the inside horse, was disallowed by the stewards. The victory earned Echoes Of Love a berth in the Merial Distaff Challenge Championship-G2 at Lone Star Park on Nov. 7.
Toby Keeton trains Echoes Of Love for Valeriano Racing Stables LLC. The filly also finished 2nd in the 2013 Hobbs America Futurity-G2. Jerry Cate bred Echoes Of Love in Texas from winner Echoes Of Angels, who has produced 2 winners from 3 starters.
Tammy Johnson & Jack Manning’s homebred Rock Princess (Rock Solid Jess-A Classic Serenade) was 2nd with Ricardo Aguirre aboard. Johnson also trains the filly, who won last year’s Corona Cartel Stakes. Two-time stakes winner Zoomin Daphne (Azoom-La Reina De La Noche) ran 3rd. Berkley Packer rode
her for owner K.C. Carden and trainer Stacey Capps. Zoomin Daphne was claimed for $20,000 two starts back. Followed by Toodles Flies Free (Fly Jess Fly- Toodledoo Otoole), Thrill Me Baby (Mr Jess Perry-The Creole Queen), Kateillac (Furyofthewind-Wildkate), Sucha Heroine (Valiant Hero-Atsi) & Ivory Key (Ivory James-Dream Diva). Fastest-qualifier Dash Through Fire & Sooner Country Babe were scratched.
