Heza Motor Scooter Dies
Heza Motor Scooter (Heza Fast Man- Hot Tin Lizzie, Ronas Ryon), who was bred and raised by Joyce Erickson, died May 10. The 1998 stallion was a multiple stakes winner of nearly $260,000. He is the sire of over $3 mil- lion, including 2-time Champion Rylees Boy and Champion All About Larry.

The 1989 mare won or placed in seven stakes races, including the Rainbow Silver Cup-G1, and equaled the 350-yard track record at the Downs at Albuquerque. Fortune Of Delight, who was bred by Gwendolyn Eaves, received the AQHA Superior Race Horse award and was named New Mexico High-Point Aged Mare
in 1993, was the 1999 Broodmare of the Year, and was named an AQHA Dam of Distinction in 2006. Fortune Of Delight is the dam of 14 winners, five stakes winners, and over $2.7 million in earners.
Precious Debutante Dies
2011 Speedhorse Co-Broodmare of the Year Precious Debutante (Heza Fast Man-Precious Libby, Liberty Jet Line), 18, died May 1, after suffering from colic. Precious Debutante won
two stakes races
in her race career,
earning a 107 career high speed index. She produced six stakes winners from nine start- ers, including 10-time stakes winner Fearles Fred, Grade 3 winner Ida Snow Man, stakes winners Fast Man Vic, Casey Corona, Mr Corona To You and Seiswho, and stakes- placed Code 36.
APHA Founder Rebecca Tyler Lockhart Passes Away
Rebecca Tyler Lockhart passed away in Gainesville, Texas, on May 31. Lockhart formed the American Paint Stock Horse Association in 1962, which was the pre- cursor to the American Paint Horse Association. She is credited with launching the effort to register horses with exces-
sive color. Lockhart was the association’s first secretary, promoting Paints at shows throughout the country. Lockhart was also a breeder. Her first registered Paint was Cherokee Maiden. Lockhart is survived by many family members and friends.

Remington Park Announces Meet Leaders
Remington Park announced their 2015 meet leaders after ending their 51-date Quarter Horse and Mixed-Breed rac-
ing meet on May 31. Gene Cox was the Leading Owner by wins with 9 victo-
ries; Bella Vista Farms was the Leading Owner by earnings with $640,157; the Jack Brooks Award for Leading Trainer was shared by Clint Crawford & Jeff Dean with 22 wins each; Eddie Willis was the Leading Trainer by earnings with $823,203; and G. R. Carter, Jr. was the meet’s Leading Rider by wins with 55 victories, as well as the Leading Rider by earnings with $1,252,211. This is the 18th time Carter received the honor, more than any jockey in the history of the track.
