FANTASTIC SIX PACK
by Dillon Hamilton
Fantastic Six Pack claimed his sixth win out of ten life- time starts and second stakes victory in the $113,400 Sterlie Bertram Memorial for Indiana-bred three-year-
olds at Indiana Grand Race Course on Sept. 24. The 3-year-old sorrel gelding started as the
odds-on favorite, recording the fastest trial time of :19.769 under jockey Shanley Jackson on Sept. 10. In the finals, the pair found themselves in third early from the ninth post and kept a steady pace, allowing them to inch away from the slower pack and claim the brand of multiple stakes winner for Fantastic
Six Pack. They covered the 400-yard fast track in :19.819, finishing 3/4-lengths ahead and earning
a speed index of 96. Fantastic Six Pack bagged
the $62,370 winner’s share of the purse for owner Duke Racing LLC, taking his lifetime earnings to a healthy $191,775. Matt Frazier conditions the geld- ing for Duke Racing. Fantasic Six Pack earlier this year won the Blue River Derby at this same track, and was 2nd in the 2015 Miss Roxie Little Futurity.

Bob Woodard Memorial Cl.
STINKIN RICH
by Michael Compton
The 4-year-old gray gelding Stinkin Rich added to his coffers, turning away nine rivals in the Bob Woodard Memorial Classic at Indiana Grand on Aug. 27.
Breaking from the far outside, Stinkin Rich grabbed a short lead soon after the start. With Rolando Pina aboard, he maintained a clear advantage through the lane and crossed the finish a 1-length in the front. Racing over a muddy, sealed track, Stinkin Rich stepped 400 yards in :19.528, setting a New Stakes Record. The final clocking earned him a career best 104 speed index and eclipsed the previous stakes mark of :20.018 set by This Lion Roars in 2014.
It was the third stakes tally for Stinkin Rich,
who also annexed the 2014 Jaguar Rocket Stakes
and that year’s Miss Roxie Little Futurity, both at Indiana Grand, and was the fastest qualifier to the Bob Woodard after winning his Aug. 13 trial. This latest victory improves his record to 13-6(3)-5(2)-1 for trainer Matt Frazier and increases his bankroll to $288,663.
An Indiana homebred for Carolyn Bruce, Stinkin Rich is the top money earner and first stakes winner out of the 2-time winner Miss Scarlet, dam of 100% money earners from four starters, including stakes placed CB Come Fly With Me.
Beach Cartel (Escondido Beach-Flashin Dee Dee) was 2nd. Berkley Packer piloted the race favorite for owner Sheri Miller and trainer Randy Smith. WH Design By Dash (Brimmstone-Fast Mans Dash) finished 3rd under Harold Collins for owner Julia Rae Martin and trainer Paul Martin.

MY LOUISIANA ROD
by Michael Compton
Despite breaking out at the start of the $71,954 QHRAI Stallion Service Auction Derby at Indiana Grand on Aug. 27, My Louisiana Rod
proved uncatchable in the 400-yard dash for owner/ trainer Randy Smith.
Ridden by Berkley Packer, My Louisiana Rod chased from second early, but quickly found her best stride and darted to the front in the lane. The filly held stablemate Coco Beach at bay in the run to the wire, winning by a 1/2-length as the race favorite. Winning her fourth stakes event, My Louisiana Rod covered the distance in :19.898, earning a 94 speed index.
With the win, My Louisiana Rod increased her earnings to $231,558 with the $39,575 winner’s share of the purse. It was the second stakes win of the season for the 3-year-old filly, who also captured this year’s Harley Greene Derby.
My Louisiana Rod, who won her Aug. 13 trial to this race for the 3rd fastest qualifying time, was bred in Indiana by Gordon L. Trimm out of the unraced mare Miss Louisiana Blue. She has produced 100% money earners from two starters. My Louisiana Rod is her top money earner and first stakes winner.
Smith also sent out runner-up Coco Beach (Escondido Beach-Flashin Dee Dee) under Juan Galvan for owner Sheri Miller. Mr Fool Me Twice (Escondido Beach-Foolinthemeadow TB) ran evenly and was 3rd under Giovani Vazquez-Gomez for owner/trainer Roy Moore.
