SUDDEN SEPARATION
by Michael Compton
Despite getting bumped from both sides soon
after the start of the $126,250 Merial Distaff Challenge Championship Stakes-G1 at Lone Star Park
on Nov. 7, Sudden Separation continued her recent run of success with yet another authoritative win.
A winner of 3 consecutive stakes events, Sudden Separation has been running true to her moniker. With James Flores aboard for trainer Larry Sharp, Sudden Separation rallied in the lane, collared the early leader and drew clear late to win by 1/2-length covering the 400 yards in :19.655 for a speed index of 95. A home- bred for Duane Murphy, Sudden Separation now owns victories in five stakes events. Her latest victory earned $57,500 boosting her lifetime earnings to $138,547.

CR TUCKERNUCK
by Michael Compton
CR Tuckernuck justified his 6-5 odds in the Zoetis Distance Challenge Championship-G1 at Lone Star Park on Nov. 7, winning the 870-yard
marathon by a head as the race favorite.
Ridden by Ricky Ramirez, CR Tuckernuck set the
pace between rivals. He dueled in the early stages then picked up the chase when Jess Twice Cash dropped back, making CR Tuckernuck work all the way to the wire. The brown gelding did just that, prevailing by a head on the line for his third straight stakes score.
In notching his first Grade 1 win, CR Tuckernuck clocked the distance in :45.659 for a speed index of 95. Earning the winner’s share of $60,000, CR Tuckernuck boosted his lifetime earnings to $194,694 for owner Kharlottie Grace Urschel and trainer Stacey Capps.
Produced from the winning mare Fast Prize Corona, CR Tuckernuck is a half-brother to Spit Like Jagger, winner of the 2013 Speedhorse F.-G2, and stakes-placed Chasin Mojo, third in the 2013 Rainbow Juv. Invit.
CJS Rocksolid (Rock Solid Jess-Sultry Miss) just missed for jockey Ricardo Aguirre. The 5-year-old gelding is owned by Rockin J Running Horses and Jack Manning and is conditioned by Tammy Johnson.

Ridden by Rodrigo Vallejo, Jess A Rogue went 350 yards in :17.520. The $34,500 winner’s share of the purse from her fourth stakes win pushed the filly’s bankroll to $128,173.
