MASTER TIME DANCER
by Luis Prieto Zamudio, translation by Eduardo Silveyra
Only ten participants were enrolled in this 400-yard race with a prize of 277,500 pesos (approximately US $16,778). The geld-
ing Juan Camilo Dancer was the only repre- sentative of Mexican breeding, the rest of the field were natives of the United States.
The results on the track were in accord with the forecasts, with great domination from the sorrel RG Golden King, directed by Eddi Cuellar. However, soon after the start and already ahead of the pack, he stumbled toward the center of the track. The movement slightly inconvenienced the filly Fast Prize Robyn, prompting an outcry and investigation to the stewardess against the winner which culmi- nated in his disqualification and repositioning to third, giving first place to Master Time Dancer with Fast Prize Robiy in second.
Thus, the two-year-old colt Master Time Dancer went into the winner’s circle with the team of Rancho La Joya Grande despite having concluded quite a distance from RG Golden King, who for the second consecutive time in his racing career has succumbed to controver- sial decisions by the stewardess.
Master Time Dancer, whose official time was :20.00 (SI 84), took on his helm Moises González García, his second win in two attempts. He debuted and won his maiden on Aug. 16 at 330-yards supported by Martin Hernandez Bautista. He is trained by Jesus Gonzalez Casillas.
With this result, he added to his account 166,650 pesos (US $10,067 approximately), totaling 185,040 pesos (approximately US $11,188) in his earnings record. He was bred in the United States by Zory Kuzyk and is by Masters Call and out of Dash For Time (by Dash For Cash).
Fast Prize Robyn (Carters Cartel - Fast Prize Doll) finished third, but was promoted to second under Jose Angel Ambrosio. She
is owned by Cuadra El Manantial and was saddled by José de Jesús Valdivia.
The disqualified RG Golden King (Stel Corona - Damoney), who was given third place, was guided by Eddi Cuellar. He is owned by Rancho Las Gaviotas and trained by Alfredo Rabanal Salinas. He is the winner of the Clasico Jodys Glory.
The other positions at the finish were in the following order: Buggin My Cap (Capo de Capi – Buginholland), Juan Camilo Dancer (Ze Dancer – Dolls Royal), Mighty Weston (Mighty Invictus – Checkimout Taryn), Kr
Hiclass Win (Hiclass La Jolla – Winhalf), Wagons First (Volcom – Going In Your Wagon), Love Zoomin (Jess Zoomin – Love Cartel) & Special Furry Socks (Furrtreeous – Annas Leadin).
EN ESPANOL
Solo diez participantes
