Louisiana Classic Stakes-RG2
LIGHTEMUPWITHCHARM

Lightemupwithcharm was a prompt 11-10 favorite in the $100,000 Louisiana Classic Stakes-RG2 at Delta Downs on July 7.
Owned by Saul Dorado, Lightemupwithcharm covered the 440-yard trip in :21.439, and his margin of victory was a head from 27-1 longshot San Lorenzo Corona. Everardo Rodriguez rode the brown gelding for trainer Martin Trejo.
In addition to earning the $60,000 winner’s share of the purse, Lightemupwithcharm posted a season-best 104 speed index.
Lightemupwithcharm was stretching out in distance off his 1/2-length score in the 400-yard $60,000 Vals Fortune Stakes-RG2 at Delta Downs on June 8. All told, he has won six of 17 starts, including two stakes, and he has banked $194,820. The gelding’s resume also includes a third-place finish in last year’s LQHBA Breeders’ Derby at Evangeline Downs, his final start as a 3 year old.
The gelding was bred by Jumonville Farms and he is one of three winners from six starters produced by Grace Filled Charm, a homebred winning daughter of Feature Mr Jess.
San Lorenzo Corona (Coronas Leaving You-In The Open) and Eddie Sanchez were second for owner Rogelio Marquez Jr. and trainer Jose Sanchez III.
TM Ranch’s Heza Louisiana Dash (Heza Fast Dash-Eyejesslovelouisiana) finished third under Gilbert Ortiz for trainer Kenneth Roberts Sr.
Gone Cartel (Coronas Leaving You-Ms Big Dashin Now), JRS Coronas Shadow (Coronas Leaving You-Shadow Of Colors), JLS Tohottotouch (JLS Party Wagon-Do It To It Reb), Ho Lotta Game (Game Patriot-Ho Lotta Speed), TF Racee Runaway (Sir Runaway Dash-Racee Rainbows), Sizzlin On Da Bayou (Sizzlin Cartel-Eyejesslovelouisiana) and Heza Bell Perry (Heza Fast Dash-De Bell Perry) completed the order of finish.

EYE N CAPO

Eye N Capo scored his fourth stakes victory in the $50,000 Miss Polly Classic-G3 at Delta Downs on July 6 by an impressive 2 1/2-length margin. The
commanding pre-race favorite, Eye N Capo was never threatened.
Under Jesse Levario, Eye N Capo broke on top from the three-gate, led by a head at the first call, and then opened up a big two-length advantage as he entered the stretch.
Eye N Capo finished the 400-yard trip in :19.382 for a 103 speed index.
Owned by Ruben Garcia Montemayor, Eye N Capo improved his overall record to 8(4)-2(1)-1(1) from 13 starts while collecting his third straight trip to the winner’s circle.
This marked the first second stakes win for the four-year-old gelding this year. His other stakes win was in the 2018 Sam Houston Classic Stakes-G2 in May. In his 2016 rookie campaign, he triumphed
in two futurities, including the Dash For Cash Futurity-G2 and Evangeline Downs Futurity.
The $30,000 payday from this race sent his total lifetime earnings to $439,660 for trainer Josue Ponce.
Dee and Betty Raper bred Eye N Capo out of winner Satisfeyen. She has produced 100% winners from three starters. Eye N Capo is her first stakes winner and top money earner.
FDP Rock Solid (Rock Solid Jess-First Down Payment) was second under David Alvarez for owner Rene Amaro and trainer Xavier Scott. The Golden Bowl (Mr Eye Opener-First Dashin Bye) and Damian Martinez were third for owner Rogelio Marquez, Jr. and trainer Jorge Lopez.
Jes A Spitfire (Walk Thru Fire-Jess Delightful) finished fourth and was followed by Hez Kwik (Heza Fast Dash-Kwik Kash TB), Zenergetic (Dominyun- Zenergy) and Gianni Que (One Famous Gianni- Chalinashake). TF Racee Runaway scratched.
Louisiana Juvenile Stakes
JESS RUNAWAYTOGETHER

Jess Runawaytogether sprinted to a head victory in the $50,000 Louisiana Juvenile Stakes at Delta Downs on July 7.
Ridden by Luis Vivanco, who has been aboard Jess Runawaytogther in all four of his outs, the geld- ing covered 350 yards in :17.685.
Miguel Rodriguez saddled Jess Runawaytogether for Benjamin Salazar Jr. and Jesus Talavera’s Jagger Horse Racing.
Jess Runawaytogether is a half-brother to Corona Together, runner-up in the 2016 Treme Derby-RG3 at Fair Grounds, as well as to the stakes-placed filly Jessa Bambi.
Raced exclusively in Louisiana, the gelding has won two of his four starts, and the $30,000 win- ner’s share of the purse from his first stakes victory increased his bankroll to $40,800.
Jess Runawaytogether was bred by Donald Aymond and David Bates Jr. out of stakes placed Jesstogether, who has produced 100% money earn- ers from 10 starters, nine of which are winners, including top money earner Jess Sayin Bye, a finalist in the Louisiana Bred Laddie Futurity-RG2. Jess Runawaytogether is her first stakes winner.
Shakeshakeshakeit (Five Bar Cartel-Rebas In The House) finished second under Antonio Alberto for owner Show Me Da Money LLC and trainer Michael Taylor. Laura Estrella’s Acoronas Toast (Coronas Leaving You-Toast Of Magic) and J.R. Ramirez were third for trainer Jose Luis Sanchez III.
