30-1 longshot, Ms Leaving You scored the
surprise victory in the $35,000 Par A Dice Stakes for non-stakes winners held at Delta Downs on July 5.
Trained by Kenneth Weeks, Ms Leaving You drew the outside starting gate in a 10-horse field. The filly broke sixth and was running third going into the stretch. Jockey Luciano Duenez urged his mount into a fast closing, and she overtook her two rivals to score the upset win by 1/2-length.
Ms Leaving You finished her 300-yard trip in :15.125 for a career-best 101 speed index.
McGehee Horse and Cattle LLC owns Ms Leaving You, who has now tallied 3 wins in 10 career starts. This victory produced a $21,000 payday, which represents nearly half of her $52,632 bankroll.
Grant Farms LLC bred Ms Leaving You and owns her dam, Ms Pilot Point, who is also a stakes winner. The mare won a pair of events in stakes company that include the 2006 AQHA East Distaff Challenge-G3 and the 2005 Sophomore Showdown at Delta Downs. She has 21 race age foals and 18 starters, including 2010 All American Futurity-G1 winner Mr Piloto and Paint My Pilot, who won last year’s Dash For Cash Derby-G3. Ms Leaving You became her third stakes winner.

Followed by Heza Truckin (Heza Fast Dash-Watch My Baby), Game Angels (Game Patriot-Angels Cartel), Dutcher (Apollitical Jess-Louisiana Eye Opener), Sassy Chic 3341 (Fast Prize Dash-Princelydancersjewel), Going Hot (Sir Runaway Dash-Always A Secret), MPS Shake Em N Style (Shake Em White-Style N Grace) and Capital Ice (Ivory James-Fantastic Six).

Oilfield Services’ EOS A Political Win and Ruben Garcia Montemayor’s Three Bar Cartel at the wire, as the two rivals finished in a dead heat for the victory in the $139,300 Retama Park Derby on July 28.
EOS A Political Win and Three Bar Cartel com- pleted the 400 yards in :19.72. Jose Alvarez rode EOS A Political Win for trainer Rolando Almanza, while Jesse Levario rode Three Bar Cartel for trainer Alonso Neri. EOS A Political Win was bred by Rey & Celia Nieto out of stakes winner Pithia. EOS A Political Win has won six of 14 outs and has banked $240,860.
Three Bar Cartel was bred by Dr. Curtis Smith out of winner Eyesa Ridicolous To. Three Bar Cartel has won five of seven starts and has earned $197,480.
SR Shambles (Desirio-Parisz) finished third under Manuel Gutierrez for owner Ruben Garcia Montemayor and trainer Alonso Neri.

Classic Stakes-RG2 at Retama Park on July 27. Making just his second stakes appearance, SF
Hot Pass was ridden by Francisco Calderon.
The pair shot a 1/2-length clear of their rivals a
few strides away from the inside gate and maintained a clear advantage on the field through the lane.
SF Hot Pass crossed the finish 1 3/4-lengths in front of FDP Rock Solid and jockey David Alvarez, securing the win in a brisk :19.612.
Saddled by Leon Bard, SF Hot Pass earned a career-high speed index of 105 for the effort.
Marking his first start since September of last year, the win improved his record to 12-3(1)-2-0 and the $23,850 winner’s share of the purse lifted his earnings to $43,130.
Bred in Texas by P & J Racing Ltd/D. Stroebel, SF Hot Pass is out of unraced Passem Up Perry.
She has produced 100% winners from five starters, including top earner Southern Temptation, who won the Harris County 550 and Delta 550 Stakes earlier this year. SF Hot Pass, a finalist in the 2017 West Texas Maturity-G2, is her second stakes winner.
FDP Rock Solid (Rock Solid Jess-First Down Payment) and David Alvarez were second for owner Rene Amaro and trainer Ismael Guevara.
Bard also sent out third place finisher Dash Quick Perry (Down N Dash-Quickid Perry). Nestor Duran was aboard for owner Pete A. Scarmardo.
Kraken Black (First Down Mr Jess- Lajollaslastthought), Gianni Que (One Famous Gianni-Chalinashake), Alluringeyeopener (Specially Alluring-Sixmoon Bully), Tic Dale (The Louisiana Cartel-Halies Dale), Tellereyematthebar (Teller Cartel-Eye Shine Special) and RC Me Leaving You (Coronas Leaving You-Sixy Bottom) completed the order of finish.
