TRANE STATION V

Even with sluggish starts slowing him down, Valeriano Racing Stables’ Trane Station V has put together a very good race record. But
by far his finest efforts came in the trials and final of the Golden State Million Futurity-G1 at Los Alamitos.
Trane Station V again came out of the gate a bit slowly in the Oct. 29 final, what Los Alamitos announcer Michael Wrona called “fractionally” missing the start.
“But Trane Station V is quickly building a full head of steam,” Wrona continued.
The start hardly mattered, as Trane Station V powered to the front and dominated the field under jockey Francisco Calderon. The 3-10 favorite easily vanquished his competition to score by 1 3/4-lengths in :19.863.
“The rest are in the caboose,” Wrona said as he called the race. “Trane Station V is doing the locomotion.”
After the race, trainer Heath Taylor analyzed the start.
