Vargas. With the win, his fourth overall and first in a stakes event from 11 lifetime starts, Just En King sports a record of 11-4-1-1. In 2023, Just En King has now won three of seven starts. The $112,800 winner’s share
of the Namehimeastreaker New Mexico Championship-RG1 purse increased his bankroll to $255,073. In addition to the stakes score, Just En King finished second in the New Mexico State Fair Derby-RG3 at Albuquerque on Oct. 15.
Just En King, a 3-year-old son of Eye Am King, is produced from the stakes-winning Furyofthewind mare U R A Fury Lady. A homebred for Ulibarri, U R A Fury Lady captured the 2010 New Mexico State Fair Senorita Futurity-RG3 at Albuquerque in 2010 en route to career earnings of $76,640. The dam has produced four winners from seven starters, Just En King being her only stakes performer.
Big Crush BB and HS Paul Walker finished in a dead heat for second. Big Crush BB (Big Daddy Cartel-Eagles First Down) rallied strongly late under Emilio Tapia to just miss. The 4-year-old gray colt is owned by Javier Chavez and is conditioned by Jose DeHerrera. Bred in New Mexico by Ralph Vincent and Beverly Bourguet, Big Crush BB is a multiple graded stakes winner. His 2023 stakes performances include wins in both the Zia Stakes-RG2 and Jimmy Drake Stakes-RG3.
HS Paul Walker (Osbaldo- Strawberryfast) dueled early and held a place spot in a game effort under jockey Jacob Enriquez. The gray 7-year-old gelding is a New Mexico homebred for Hubaldo
Solis. Armando Alamos trains the eight- time winner who has banked more than $300,000 and has a record of 41-8-11-5.
