MILAGRO LADY

Milagro Lady scored the first stakes victory of her career at Zia Park on Nov. 26, and the 3-year-old filly made it
count, taking down a Grade 1 event. In an impressive performance, Milagro Lady joined the ranks of Grade 1 winners with an upset victory over eight rivals in the $200,000 New Mexico Fillies and Mares Championship-RG1.
Ridden by Manuel Gutierrez, Milagro Lady broke alertly and dueled for supremacy early. Never far back, the sorrel filly surged to the front in the lane of the 400-yard fixture, wrestling the lead away from My Heart Jess Runs. Immediately tackled by Brookes Legacy, Milagro Lady shrugged
off the challenge from that foe and moved clear late to register a half-length win. She stopped the timer in the fast time of :19.184 and earned a speed index of 104.
Owned by Neale Edwards and trained by Lonnie Vaughn, Milagro Lady improved
Under Manuel Gutierrez, Milagro Lady wins her first stakes race in the New Mexico Fillies & Mares Championship-RG1.
