SHES DA ONE ON FIRE

Shes Da One On Fire bolted to her first ever stakes victory in the 400-yard $49,600 Indiana Grand Classic at Indiana Grand Race Course on June 23. Despite the rainy weather and a track rated sloppy, Shes Da One On Fire shot from the 4-post on the lead under jockey Jose Davila. Racing for owner Jesus Daniel Padilla & trainer Sacramento Chavez, Shes Da One On Fire was never headed. The mare had a 1/2-length lead at the 1st call and held on to that margin the entirety of the race & crossed the wire a 1/2-length in front.
The five-year-old sorrel mare clocked in with a time of :19.981, equalling her career high speed index of 91. Shes Da One On Fire took home the $28,271 winner’s share of the purse, taking her earnings to $67,645. Her race record is now 17-4(1)-3-4(1). Shes Da One On Fire also had a 3rd place finish in the 2016 Indiana Championship, and was also 4th in the 2016 AB What A Runner Handicap.

Of Distinction Fearless Freda. Da One has produced 100% money earners from eight starters. Shes Da One On Fire is the mare’s third stakes winner and top money earner. The other stakes winners in the brood include This Is The Da One and Heza Dynasty.
After being brushed at the start, jockey Alonso Rivera and A Tacky Chick (Tac It Like A Man-A Chick Of Class) held throughout the contest to bring home the second place money for owner Colts Racing Corp. and trainer Ricardo Martinez. Stakes placed HR Chatter Wagon (PYC Paint Your Wagon-Excessive Chatter)
and jockey Rolando Pina ran a steady race and finished third for owner Q & S Racing and trainer Joe Davis. Followed by Mavara Vegas (FDD Dynasty-Jess Like Vegas), Jumpn Chick (Jumpn-Sheza Classy Leader), Beach Bride (Escondido Beach-Jess Alive Bully) & Miss Huerfanita (The Louisiana Cartel-Shes A Fast Jess).
Jaguar Rocket Futurity
APOLLITICAL REGARD

Apollitical Regard stormed back from an early stumble to win her first stakes victory in the $123,900 Jaguar Rocket Futurity at Indiana Grand Race Course on June 17.
The sorrel filly ran the second fastest trial time after winning her June 3 heat by 3/4-length, making her an immediate contender as she stepped into the gate for the final.
She broke from the 10th post-position in third place under Juan Galvan in the Jaguar Rocket Futurity. The pair made up for lost time and quickly caught the leaders. Apollitical Regard and Galvan crossed the line a neck ahead of any rivals in :15.655, earning a career high 91 speed index.
Apollitical Regard’s first stakes win brought home the $68,145 winner’s share for owner Duke Racing LLC and trainer Matt Frazier. The filly’s lifetime earnings now total $71,090 with a record of 2 wins from 3 starts.
Duke Racing LLC bred Apollitical Regard in Idaho out of lightly raced Cartel Regards. Apollitical Regard is her first starter from two foals.
Fastest qualifier Be Afraid (Tac It Like a Man- Cajun Eye Opener) led, cleared, and was caught at the wire under Cesar Gomez, and the gelding placed 2nd for owner Leonardo Alcala and trainer Librado Barraza.
Jetta Rising (Jet Black Patriot-Rise Above The Trees) made an even run and took third under Cesar Esqueda. The brown filly is owned by Tammy and David Lewis and trained by Anthony Cunningham.
HQH Fancy Pants (Fantastic Corona Jr-Streakin Keep Sake), Perfical (Fantastic Corona Jr-Miss Scarlet), Del Reys Leaving You (Coronas Leaving You-Stolia Del Rey), Fish Head (The Crawfish-Kool And Collected), WH Shez Jazzy (Bono Jazz- Designer Suite), Pieper (Down N Dash-Cant Bug This Game) and Atempting Love (Tempting Dash- Lovemelikethat) completed the order of finish.
Harley Greene Derby
KEEN LIAISON

Keen Liaison won her first stakes race in the $98,200 Harley Greene Derby at Indiana Grand Race Course on June 3 for registered Indiana three
year olds that qualified. In the May 19 trials, Keene Liaison just missed and finished second by a nose in her heat after being bumped early in the race.
In the finals, however, the filly made a clean break from the 7-post. Keen Liaison settled into the middle of the pack early in the race, 1-length back from the leaders. She burst forward under jockey Ronald Hisby and outran her rivals with a deter- mined effort. The pair finished just up by a nose on the 350-yard fast track. They sprinted to the wire with in :17.813, earning a 91 speed index.
Keen Liaison’s first stakes victory spikes her season earnings to $63,810 after bagging the $54,010 winner’s share of the purse for owner James Black and trainer Erin Thompson. The filly’s lifetime earn- ing’s reached $65,410.
Gary Hess bred Keen Liaison out of stakes placed Keens Cat. The mare has produced 100% money earners from four starters. Keen Liaison is her first stakes winner and top earner.
Kid Cartel (Kool Quick Kid-Cartels Glass Sliper) dueled and led, but ended up second under Giovani Vazquez-Gomez for owner Craig Zeneberg and trainer Anthony Cunningham.
Ridden by Jose Dabila, First Cucuy (Jazz Be First- First Mansini Dash) dueled between the leaders, but finished third for owner/trainer Sacramento Chavez.
