Tuxedo Waitor picked up a gratuity of almost five figures for his photo-finish victory in the $15,000 All American Congress Maturity at Ohio’s Belterra Park on Oct. 8.
Tuxedo Waitor bore out sharply as he broke on top from the inside post position. The sorrel gelding settled into a fine stride and took a 1 1/2-length lead by the first call.
Tuxedo Waitor still led by 1-length as he reached the stretch, then withstood a late push from BP Tres Seis Policy to hit the wire first by a nose.
The five-year-old gelding received every call and won the event in wire-to-wire style, tallying his first career stakes victory and improving his race record to 4(1)-1-0 in five starts.
Tuxedo Waitor completed the 440-yard All American Congress Maturity trip in :21.532, earning a career best 110 speed index. The $9,000 winner’s share takes his earnings to $27,480.
Tuxedo Waitor is owned by San Ignacio QH Inc. and is trained by Jesus Gonzalez Jr. The gelding had Oscar Macias aboard. The jokey previously rode Tuxedo Waitor in his two prior outs at Hazel Park, in which they won each in resounding fashion - one by 3/4-length and the other by 2 1/4-lengths.
The same winning connections also produced the winner in the All American Congress Futurity on the same card, One Jess Streakin.
Francisco Colorado bred Tuxedo Waitor out of winner Moms, who was a finalist in the 1996 La Primera Del Ano Derby-G2. The mare has produced 100% earners from 13 starters, including three stakes winners with Tuxedo Waitor entering into blacktype ranks. The top earner of the brood is Dillingham Handicap winner Daddy Dasher.
Bill Price owns BP Tres Seis Policy and BP Im The Man, both of whom were trained by Randy Haffner and rounded out the top three. Gabriel Lagunes rode multiple stakes finalist BP Tres Seis Policy (Tres Seis-CC Policy), the post-time favorite who made a late surge to snatch runner-up honors from his stablemate. Vernon Bush was aboard BP Im The Man (First Down Dash-CC Policy).

Honor The Fast Man scored his third stakes victory this year in the 400-yard Canada Cup Derby held at Century Downs on Oct. 22.
The bay gelding broke from the 2-post and instantly started to drift to the inside. Regular rider Martin Ortiz, who straightened his mount and dug in late to hold off a late surge by Dashin By All. Honor The Fast Man and Ortiz crossed the wire a head in front in :20.067 to earn a career high 103 speed index.
Honor The Fast Man also earned the first place check worth $9,892, increasing the gelding’s cumu- lative bankroll to $53,327.
Tom Kenway owns and trains the gelding. Kenway also bred Honor The Fast Man in Alberta Canada, out of stakes winner Buckle High. The 2003 Manitoba Speed Horse Futurity winner has produced 100% money earners from three starters. Honor The Fast Man is her top earner and first stakes winner.
The gelding has wins in the Evergreen Park Derby Challenge and the Alberta Bred Derby at Northlands Park, and finished second in the All Canadian Derby, third in the 2016 Canada Cup Futurity-RG3 and was a finalist in the 2016 Alberta Bred Futurity-RG3, all at Lethbridge.
Dashin By All (Bodacious Dash-All Lena) gave
a big effort and ended up a head behind the winner. The colt earned second place money for his team
which includes, owner Thomas Pick and trainer Cory Rumsey. Jose Rocha was handling the reins. North Pine Special (Oak Tree Special-Hawks Halo) started slowly but finished with a rush. He banked third place money for owner Shylo Penrod and Teagan Goodsell. Allen Goodsell was in charge of saddling. J. Botello was in the saddle. Followed by Bringit Like Benny (Promised Class-Keep On Keepin On), Tac It Perry (Tac It Like A Man-Quickid Perry) & Make Er Out (First Timber- Ima Jess A Streaker). Streakinbabe was scratched.

One Jess Streakin won the $15,000 All American Congress Futurity by a resounding 2 1/2-lengths at Belterra Park on Oct. 8.
One Jess Streakin clearly represented himself as the class of the field.
Breaking on top from the inside starting gate, the sorrel colt exploded to a 1 1/2-length lead by the first calland maintained that advantage in
the stretch. Rider Oscar Macias, who was aboard One Streakin Jess for the first time in this event, widened the winning margin to 2 1/2-lengths at the finish line.
Prepped by trainer Jesus Gonzalez Jr., One Jess Streakin completed the 350 yards wire-to-wire in :17.337, posting a 105 speed index and bringing home a $9,000 payday for his owners at San Ignacio QH Inc., which boosted the total earnings of the young sorrel colt to $10,890.
The 2 year old reached the winner’s circle for the second time in three career outs. He broke his maiden in a trial for the Sam Houston Futurity.
Gerardo Medina Luna of Mexico bred One Jess Streakin out of 2008 Champion Aged Mare Miss Kips Streakin. Also earning the title of 2007 Texas Hi-Point 3-Year-Old Filly, Miss Kips Streakin earned seven stakes wins—two of them graded events—in
a 12-win, 40-race career that amassed $335,288 in prize money.
The mare has produced 100% earners from
10 starters, including two additional blacktype earners beside One Jess Streakin. Her top earner
is graded stakes placed runner Mr Runaway. who finished third in the Dash For Cash Futurity-G1 and Evangeline Downs Futurity. One Jess Streakin, however, is the first stakes winner of the brood.
Blaines Captain (Captain Courage-Bye Bye Blaine) finished second under Giovani Vazquez- Gomez for owner/trainer Anthony Cunningham. The gelding is still looking to break his maiden.
Carolina Sizzler (Sizzlin Cartel-Louisiana Indigo) is owned by Jorge Hernandez. The Mallory Norton trainee had Luis Guerrero aboard. The filly won her first out in a maiden contest at Hazel Park.
The remaining order of finish was Del Reys Leaving You (Coronas Leaving You-Stolia Del Rey), Fooses Chick (Foose-One Chick Two Chick), Cenorita Tough (Way Down Town-Tuff Chiclet), Toughdashingangel (Dashair-Tuff Ladys), Diva Baby (DMNV Mountable-Singin Diva) & Holding Secrets (No Secrets Here-Mia Jones). Might And Right & Mighty B Grateful were scratched.
