Classic Stakes-G2 at Sam Houston on May 12.

Garcia Montemayor and trainer Abelardo Flores Jr., Eye N Capo broke from the 7-post in good order and charged to the front soon after the start of the 440- yard test. He shot clear by a 1/2-length in the lane and edged away to score by 3/4-length at the finish, stop- ping the timer in :21.631, posting a 96 speed index.
The win was the second graded win for Eye
N Capo, who previously annexed the 2016 Dash For Cash Futurity-G2 at Lone Star Park. He also captured the 2016 Evangeline Downs Futurity and is multiple graded stakes-placed. The latest victory improved his record to 12-7(3)-3(2)-1(1) and the $30,000 winner’s share of the purse bumped his earnings total to $412,660.
Dee & Betty Raper bred Eye N Capo out of win- ner Satisfeyen. She has produced 100% winners from three starters. Eye N Capo is her first stakes winner and top money earner.
Flyingforunclesam (Flyingwitheagles-Dreams for Lyndsie) and jockey Jose Martinez finished second for owner Kirk Goodfellow and trainer James Padgett II.
Beaus Famous (One Famous Eagle-Beaukas) and Eddie Sanchez finished third for owner Francisco Garza and trainer Elpidio Luna Jr.
RC Me Leaving You (Coronas Leaving You-Sixy Bottom) was fourth, followed by Chuys Valcom (Volcom-Ill Getcha Good). Here Comes Callan (Fantastic Corona Jr-Evans Express) and Big Tex (Mr Jess Perry-Veva Jean) finished in a dead heat for 6th and were followed by Dash Quick Perry (Down N Dash- Quickid Perry), Blazin Moon Force (First Moonflash- Blazin Force) and TLC Dale (The Louisiana Cartel-Halies Dale).

TRES MIRACLES

Tres Miracles made an auspicious career debut dispatching 9 rivals to win the $20,000 Colors of Houston Paint & Appaloosa Juvenile-G2 at Sam Houston Race Park on April 30.
With Noe Villatoro aboard for trainer Esteban Rubio, Tres Miracles broke well and contended for command early. She grabbed the lead in the lane and fought bravely to the finish, defeating C R B Eyes by a neck at the wire.
Tres Miracles completed the 350 yards :16.270 into a 10mph headwind. Tres Miracles pocketed a stakes win and $11,000 in her initial start.
Sandra Garnett-Tatom bred Tres Miracles out
of winner Together Again, finalist in the 2007 Manor Paint & Appaloosa Futurity-G3. The mare has produced 100% money earners from six starters, including 3-Time Champion Jess Icy. Together Again is a half-sister to Champions Camo Cowgirl and Awesome Judy. Tres Miracles is her second stakes winner.
Runner-up and race favorite C R B Eyes APHA (Double Kandu QH-Bat Them Eyes) was also making his first start. Francisco Calderon was up for owner/ breeder Javier Lujan and trainer Martin Rodriguez.
Indestructibull ApHC (Agouti QH-Omega Bull) nabbed the show spot in an even effort in his third career outing. Gonzalo Gutierrez was aboard for owner/breeder Jodee Rowe and trainer Juan Gomez.
Big Red Crush APHA (Awesome Chrome-Gotta Grippin Image), VP Yawls Slick Winner APHA (VP Slick Winner-Yawls Victoria), VP Special Danger APHA (VP Slick Winner-Country Danger), Flash of Geneous ApHC (First Smart Money QH-Frosty Rose JJ), VP Fast Corona APHA (Special Royal Corona-Okie Dokie Annie), Beat Up Memories APHA(Leaving Memories QH-Miss Dashin Image) and O P Royal Corona APHA (Cartel Success QH-OP Rebbecca) completed the order of finish.

Multiple stakes winner Cat Scratch Dash made his first start of the year a winning one, prov- ing best in the $19,500 Colors of Texas Paint &
Appaloosa Maturity-G2 at Sam Houston Race Park on April 30.
Ridden by Manuel Gutierrez, Cat Scratch Dash broke alertly and dueled throughout the 350-yard dash. He shook off an early challenge from Jess Icy and then held at bay a late rally from Tell Him Bye to prevail by a nose in :18.302. Cat Scratch Dash was sent off as the race favorite.
Trained by Abelardo Flores Jr. for owner Melissa Dehoyos, Cat Scratch Dash improved his record to 8 wins in 20 starts, with 7 stakes victories to his name. The $11,505 winner’s share of this purse increased his bankroll to $89,860. Cat Scratch Dash, who was the 2016 APHA Champion Breeding Stock Aged Stallion, has now won the Colors of Texas Maturity-G2
twice - this year & last, the 2014 Colors of Houston Futurity-G2, the 2016 GCFA Paint & Appaloosa Maturity, the 2016 & 2017 Colors of the Wind Maturity, and the 2014 Colors of the Alamo Futurity.

is the first stakes winner out of the 3-time winner Cat Scratch Fefurr. She has produced 100% winners from one Paint and three Quarter Horser starters.
Tell Him Bye APHA (Hiclass La Jolla QH-Dial Judy) was 2nd under Jose Martinez for Sandra Garnett-Tatom & trainer Esteban Rubio. Taken It Tothe Limit APHA (Carters Cartel QH-Judy Janise) was 3rd under Francisco Calderon for Fulton Quien Sabe Ranches & trainer L.R. Jordan. Followed by Jess Icy APHA (Boknaai QH-Together Again), Hurricane O J APHA (Awesome Chrome- O J Okey), Once A Warrior ApHC (Agouti QH-Omega Bull), First Down Geno ApHC (First Smart Money QH-Frosty Rose JJ) & Sienna Eyes APHA (Intrinsic Value QH-Bat Them Eyes). Traxxus APHA was scratched.
