On April 29, the first Clasico in honor of Gabriel Cué Sacre was held, breeder and owner of Quarter Horses in his Cuadra
Armadillo located in Tuxtepec in the State of Oaxaca. The race conditions were for horses three years and older who participated in claim- ing races for $80,000 pesos or less between March 31, 2017 and 2018.
Nine participants paid the respective nomination fee and were entered, all of them looking to win the classic to be run at 350 yards with a purse of $318,300 pesos (approximately $16,783 US dollars).
The betting favorite was the colt Divas Sweet Jess, given his recent good performance. However, Cruzamar was responsible for frustrating his aspira- tions. Cruzamar departed quick and timely, which allowed him to drift to the center of the track without interfering anyone, increasing his speed under the command of Arturo Romero, who rode hard and ensured a comfortable advantage over Divas Sweet Jess, crossing the finish line 2-lengths in front in :17.30 for a 95 speed index.
Bred in Mexico by Las Ánimas Farm, Cruzamar is by He Be Jess Special and out of Almeria (by Royal Quick Dash) and is owned by Rancho La Soledad de Álvarez. Out of 21 starts, he has achieved a record of 6-4-5 with earnings over $540,000 pesos. The colt debuted on May 8, 2016, winning a maiden at 250 yards and
the following September he won the Arcadio Espinosa Classic due to the disqualification of Zoom Horse, with this being his main achieve- ment before winning the Gabriel Cue Sacre Clasico. Cruzamar was claimed for $80,000 pesos on March 18, 2018 for Cuadra Tony T, becoming eligible for this classic, where he was saddled by trainer Antonio De La Rosa López.
Divas Sweet Jess (One Sweet Jess-Splendiferous Diva), was awarded with second place under the guidance of Mario Alberto López Marmolejo. The colt is owned by Rancho Las Gaviotas and was saddled by trainer Israel Martínez Paz.
In third place came Dewars (First Down Dash-RR Le Mistral), well conducted by Martín Hernández Bautista. After being claimed by Cuadra Tittanium, he now runs for RG Ranch where he is trained by René Alan Rodríguez García.
Also having participated were: Ought To Be Fire (Ought To Be First–Dash Corona), Harem Cartel (Millenium Cartel–Harem Carver), Dash Holland (Queretano–Custard Dash), Coronaontherocks

en Tuxtepec, Estado de Oaxaca. La condición fue para ejemplares Cuarto de Milla de tres
años y mayores, que participaron en carreras de reclamación por $80,000 pesos o menos, entre el 31 de Marzo de 2017 y 2018.
Nueve participantes fueron inscritos y pagaron la respectiva cuota de nominación y participación, todos ellos en busca de con- seguir este clásico, pactado en 350 yardas y con premio de $318,300 pesos ($16,783 US aproximadamente).
Amplio favorito en las apuestas fue el potro Divas Sweet Jess, dado su buen desempeño reciente; sin embargo, Cruzamar se encargó de frustrar en la pista esa aspiración. Su partida fue rápida y oportuna, lo que le permitió derivar hacia el centro de la pista sin interferir a nadie, desarrollando por ahí toda su velocidad bajo
el mando de Arturo Romero, que en todo momento lo exigió con la fusta para asegurar una cómoda ventaja sobre Divas Sweet Jess, que al cruzar la meta fue de 2 largos, marcando un tiempo de 17.30 segundos, para un SI de 95.
Criado en México por Las Ánimas Farm, Cruzamar es hijo del semental He Be Jess Special en Almeria (por Royal Quick Dash), siendo propiedad del Rancho La Soledad de
Álvarez. De 21 partidas, ha logrado un récord de 6 – 4 – 5, con ganancias mayores a 540 mil pesos. Debutó el 8 de Mayo de 2016, ganando una “maiden” en 250 yardas; en Septiembre siguiente se acred-
itó el Clásico Arcadio Espinosa, por descalifi- cación de Zoom Horse, siendo este su principal logro hasta antes de ganar el Clásico Gabriel Cue Sacre. El potro fue reclamado por $80,000 pesos el 18 de Marzo de 2018 a la Cuadra Tony T, convirtiéndose en elegible para el clásico
que aquí se reporta, donde fue ensillado por el entrenador Antonio De La Rosa López.
Divas Sweet Jess (One Sweet Jess – Splendiferous Diva, por Separatist), se quedó con el premio a segundo lugar, bajo la guía de Mario Alberto López Marmolejo. Es propiedad del Rancho Las Gaviotas y lo ensilló el entrena- dor Israel Martínez Paz.
Para el tercer lugar finalizó Dewars (First Down Dash – RR Le Mistral), bien conducido por Martín Hernández Bautista. Tras ser reclamado a Cuadra Tittanium, ahora corre para el RG Ranch, donde lo entrena René Alan Rodríguez García.
