Louisiana Bred Laddie Futurity-RG2

San Lorenzo Jet tipped his hand in his
career debut, impressively winning his May 6 trial heat for the Louisiana Bred Laddie Futurity-RG2 by 1-length to set the fastest qualifing time. .
The two-year-old bay son of Jet Black Cartel followed up his sharp career debut with another stellar effort in winning the $331,747 Laddie Futurity-RG2 finals on May 28 at Delta Downs to remain undefeated in his first two outings.
With regular rider David Alvarez aboard once again, San Lorenzo Jet dominated his eight rivals in the main event.
When the gates opened, the bay colt broke fifth from the nine-gate and raced in third position early in the contest. Despite drifting in, San Lorenzo Jet rallied strongly in the lane of the 330-yard test. He had a head lead at the top of the stretch and flew home to score by a widening 1 1/2-lengths at the finish.
