Owned by Rogelio Marquez Jr. and trained by Jesus Marquez, San Lorenzo Jet is now two- for-two and an earner of $175,259.
The bay colt was bred in Louisiana by Rogers Farm/Tim and Jennie Rogers. He is
out of the stakes-placed Fly Jess Fly mare Miss Delta Duck. Runner-up in the 2011 Gold Rush Stakes at Remington Park, Miss Delta Duck earned $73,159 in winning six of 18 career starts. She came by her talent naturally, as her dam, Lawanda Fay (the second dam of San Lorenzo Jet), was a graded stakes winner in the Grade 3 Oklahoma Horsemen’s Association Derby, and an earner of $64,509 during her racing career.
Ridden by Victor Urieta Jr., Zoominseperately (Zoomin For Bux-Ms Proverbial) flashed early speed and was clearly second best on the night, finishing 1 3/4-lengths over his rival. The sorrel gelding is owned by Maria Garza and is conditioned by Roberto Madrigal. Teddy Berry bred the horse in Louisiana, and Zoominseperately has now earned $67,148 in three lifetime starts. Zoominseperately previously won his May 6 trial heat by 3/4-lengths.
Diamondonatrain (Freighttrain B-Very Intriguing) finished third under Manuel Gutierrez for J and J Stone Co. Inc. The bay gelding is trained by Pedro Lopez. A two- time winner, Diamondonatrain was bred in Louisiana by Kenneth Garcia. The seventh- fastest qualifier, Diamondonatrain won his May 7 trial heat wire-to-wire by a head. Before that, he went wire-to-wire in a maiden race at Louisiana Downs. Diamondonatrain has now earned $46,392 in four lifetime starts.
