the word undefeated has a special ring to it. Any athlete will tell you that. Bringonthewave is now undefeated in
4 outs, including his most recent win
in the $36,901 Alberta Bred Futurity at Northlands Park on Sept. 16.
The fastest qualifier from the Aug. 30 trials, Bringonthewave broke well in his heat & quickly grabbed the lead. He responded well to a challenge mid-stretch from Mr Eleanor, and held on to win his trial by 1/2-length.
In the Alberta Bred Fututity, Bringonthewave ran true to form. The gelding broke 2nd from the 6-gate and the outcome was never in doubt. Ramiro Castillo was up and he stayed out of the way and enjoyed
the ride. Bringonthewave held off
a challenge halfway through the
race and drew away for the win. He crossed the wire 2 1/4-lengths on top in :17.283 for the 330-yards. That effort earned the $16,605 winner’s share, taking his bank to $29,120. His record is a perfect 4-for-4 with
an additional win in the Jerry Stojan Memorial by a length earlier this year.
Bringonthewave is owned by Dale Zukowski & trained by James Doolin. Bred in Alberta, by Shady Lane Stables, Bringonthewave is out of stakes placed winner Special Corona. She has produced 100% earners from 9 starters, including stakes winners Belladonte, Caraves
Waves and Stella Wave, the top earner in the brood.
Shawnee Cartel (Teller Cartel- Shawnee Royale) was 2nd under
Jose Rocha for Doug Graham & trainer Buckey Stockwell. Llomars Dream (Azoom-Dazzled) was 3rd under Martin Ortiz for owner/trainer Buckey Stockwell. Followed by Atomic Blondie (Birdzilla TB-Sables Val), Mr Eleanor (First Timber-Lets Get Going), DQ’d from a 4th-place DH to finish in a 6th-place DH
were Marissas Marshmellow (Cuivre River-Long Gone Jenna Jean) & Machete (Wild On Corona-Queens Royal Dynasty), then Thisbudsforyou (Streakinisanattitude-Highnest TB).
