lSPrince prevailed in a blanket finish to win the $83,558 Picov
Derby at Ajax Downs on Sept. 18. Jason Pascoe prepped LS Prince,
who broke well from the 6-gate and was running in the middle of the pack entering the stretch. LS Prince made his move during the final yards, making it to the front of the field and getting up at the wire by a head.
Jockey Josh Scott was aboard LS Prince, who covered the 400 yards in :19.870, posting a 103 speed index benefited from a 10 mph tailwind. This win produced a $31,652 payday that more than doubled his previous earnings to a new total of $55,647.

Prince, who has won five of his nine races. The Picov Derby win marked his second victory in stakes company. LS Prince also won the Adequan Ajax Derby Challenge
on Aug. 13, which qualified him to the $180,000 Adequan Derby Challenge Championship-G3 to be held Oct. 14 at Prairie Meadows.

is the trainer and Cassandra Jeschke did the riding. Pascoe also trains third-place finisher Miromar (Ivory James-Azoomin With Jessie), who is owned by GFR Equine Services and had Ramiro Castillo aboard.
