elko Intermountain Futurity
IM ThAT rIGhT
by John Moorehouse
Im That Right made all the right moves in the $36,300 Elko Intermountain Futurity, outdu- eling No Tramp Stamp to reach the finish line
first by a head in the Labor Day event at the Elko County Fairgrounds.
The 2-year-old gelding notched his third win in six career outs for owners Denny and Sandy Weigt. Im That Right has finished either first or second in each of his races thus far, and his lifetime bankroll
nearly doubled to $30,139
with the $14,520 payday
from this futurity victory.
His career record includes a
second-place run in the Les
Bois Juvenile Challenge held
on July 6, and Im That Right
also qualified for May’s
Bitterroot Futurity-RG3,
though he was scratched
from the finals.
A Monty Arrossa trainee, Im That Right finished the
350-yard competition in :17.930. He’s now won two straight outs, also taking first place in his futurity trial.
Robert Burney, who also rode the win- ning horse in the Elko County Fair Derby on the same card, was aboard Im That Right.
Bred by Double Bar S Ranch, Im That Right is out of Rieda Hay Worth, who participated in five graded stakes during her
own competitive career— most notably the 2008 Ed Burke Million Futurity-G1, in which she finished third to bring home a six-figure payout. The mare earned almost a quarter-million dol- lars in 17 starts on the track. As a broodmare, Rieda Hay Worth has produced two foals of racing age. The other starter, I Go Out Walkin, ran in this year’s Governors Cup Futurity-RG2.
No Tramp Stamp (First Sign It-Wild Tat Too), who was the fastest qualifier, secured runner-up honors for Sixto Garcia. Trained by Jere Brinkerhoff, the filly had jockey Jesus Valenzuela aboard.
JR Best Regard was placed third after
Jess Fly Home was disqualified from third
to eighth for interference. Niel Biggs owns
JR Best Regard (Chicks Regard-Lanes Of Royalty), a Jose Gonzalez Jr. trainee ridden by Flavio Lozano.
Pappadeano (Pappasito-Proud Moon Bug), Stan Hector (Jumpn-Meggies Call), Gitana Azteca (PYC Paint Your Wagon-Oh What
A Rose), Saratoga Springs (Mr Eye Opener- Purely Political TB), Jess Fly Home (Fly Jess Fly-Nashville Nights) and Lil Dip A Nitro (Royal Miracle Dip-Attract) completed the field. Dontbtardyfordaparty was scratched.

Sweetwater Downs Futurity
AGenT oF Move
by Tracy Gantz
Agent Of Move edged into the final of the Sept. 2 Sweetwater Downs Futurity at
the Sweetwater County Fair as the 10th-fastest qualifier. Though he wasn’t let go as the longest shot on the board, bettors didn’t overly care for Agent Of Move. They sent him off at more than 13-1 against RM Looking For Fame, the fastest qualifier and odds-on favorite.
Surprising many, Agent Of Move van- quished his seven rivals to
win the Sweetwater Futurity.
Breaking from post three
under Uriel Dominguez, the gelding rushed to the front. The entire field battled mere noses and necks apart as they stormed down the 350 yards, but Agent Of Move drew away at the end to win by three-quarters of a length in a time of :17.631.
Ron Moosman trains Agent Of Move for owners
Dan and Patricia Baker. Dominguez has partnered the gelding in all three of his starts, beginning with a non-wagering event at Laurel Brown Racetrack. In that June
30 maiden race, Agent Of Move also won by three-quarters of a length. He then finished second behind RM Looking For Fame in their trial, saving a spot in the final when he outfin- ished third-place Fergilicious by a neck.
Bert Aitken bred Agent
Of Move in Utah by crossing the First Down Dash stal- lion Maknmoves with his homebred unraced Deregulate mare Shez De Agent. The mare has been a consistent producer, getting six winners from seven starters, including stakes-placed Hez De Rocket and Mick De Quick.
PF Flyair (Dashair-Pretty N Famous) finished second for jockey Jordan Hadley.
Tony Greaves owns the gelding and bred him with Tim Oliver. Trained by Susan Hadley, PF Flyair won two of three races prior to the final.
Lee Watson’s homebred Whatever Shakes (Royal Shake Em-Whatevers Magic), rid-
den by Tyson Lusk, and RM Looking For Fame (Maknmoves-Switching Fame), piloted by Antonio Alberto, dead-heated for third. Chancey Spencer trains Whatever Shakes, while Miguel Rodriguez owns and trains RM Looking For Fame.
Best Kept Secrets (No Secrets Here-Gold Daze), finished fifth, followed by This Habits A Secret (No Secrets Here-One More Habit). Secret Sweetheart (Dashair-Donnasecret) ran seventh, but was disqualified to eighth, elevat- ing Snow Folly (Snowbound-TB-Separate Folly) to seventh. Alilbita Lacey and Fool The Guys were scratched.
